Our Kid Council member, Ashtyn Snow, recently learned about Engage Toledo and the City’s Department of Public Utilities. As part of the experience, Ashtyn had the opportunity to listen in on a real citizen call and learn how local government serves our community.
The day also included a scavenger hunt at the Children’s Library, followed by pizza and salad with fellow participants. It was a fun and engaging way to learn more about local government and community services!

It’s not goodbye… it’s see you later!
Today we celebrate Mr. James as he retires after years of faithfully serving as the crossing guard for Marshall STEMM Academy.
Through every season, he helped keep our students safe while greeting families with his warm smile, kind heart, and unwavering dedication. Mr. James became a familiar and comforting part of our school community, getting to know students, staff, and families along the way.
Congratulations, Mr. James, on your retirement! We wish you happiness, good health, and many wonderful adventures in this next chapter.
Thank you for your years of service and for the difference you made in the lives of so many students.
Love, your Marshall family 💜
(P.S. Ms Hernandez delivered cards from our students and staff on his last day!)

Students learned about sustainability by creating four-square projects focused on reducing, reusing, and recycling. They illustrated eco-friendly concepts and worked together to present their ideas in teams. The class then voted on the poster that best represented our EcoCode goals.
Marshall STEMM Academy is going green, and we have some exciting things happening! We are proud to share that Ms. Hernandez was awarded a grant from the National Wildlife Federation to support our EcoSchools initiatives. We can’t wait to see the positive impact these opportunities will have on our students and school community! 🌎♻️💚

We’d like to take this opportunity to wish our seventh graders the very best of luck as they continue on their journey. Keep exploring, creating, questioning, and dreaming big — the future belongs to those who are curious enough to discover it. 💜💜💜💜
