Joining the PTO is a great way to get involved in your child’s school life. With your help, we can make a difference in our children's lives!

In order to achieve our goals, volunteers from the PTO organize fundraisers throughout the year, i.e. the fall sales fundraiser, our Scholastic Book Fair, our Santa Shop, the carnival, and others so that we can give back to our students in meaningful ways. There’s still time to get your commemorative Harvard t-shirt.

Wow! The Harvard School community really showed up to say farewell to the “Castle on the Hill.” If you missed the chance to purchase a Harvard Elementary T-shirt we will have more in our shop Tuesday, June 23rd. What a night! Close to 500 former Harvard students, staff, parents, and community members came out to celebrate our beautiful Castle on the Hill.

It was incredible to hear the many cherished memories and to see the delight on people’s faces when they walked through this beloved building.

We don’t know what the future holds for the building that housed Harvard Elementary School, but we are honored to have been part of its 99-year history.

Thank you to everyone who came out tonight! Thank you to Toledo Public Schools for allowing us to host the party. Thank you to Dean W. for grilling the hot dogs, and to Mr. John Jordan and Mrs. Carol Del Signore for giving tours of the building. Thank you to Wixey Bakery for making such delicious elephant ears and to Printed On A Lark for creating commemorative t-shirts. ETA: Thank you to Principal Coleman from Beverly for helping out with the elevator, and to TPD for assisting with crowd control. And thank you to former PTO President Cindy Locker for gifting the Harvard tote bags.

And thank you to the members of the Harvard PTO who organized and staffed the event tonight.

P.S. Monday, June 22nd is the last day to tour the building. Tour hours are

We are so excited for the big farewell celebration at Harvard on Wednesday, June 17 from 5-7pm. Our friends from Printed On A Lark will be there selling these gorgeous commemorative t-shirts.

We love you too, Wixey Bakery! 💙💛

Today is the last day of school for TPS and while we know summer is always something students look forward to, we will miss Harvard dearly. ❤️

It has been so nice seeing students, teachers, bus drivers, crossing guards, and parents frequent this neighborhood throughout the many years.

We will miss you all, and we hope you have an amazing summer! ✨

Come take a walk down memory lane as we gather to celebrate the Harvard Elementary community and say farewell to a school that has meant so much to so many.

Current and former students, families, teachers, staff, alumni, neighbors, and community members are all welcome.

Walk the halls, share memories, reconnect with old friends, and help us honor the legacy of Harvard Elementary.

Hot dogs will be served.
Open to all.

Can’t attend the celebration? You may also visit the building between 10:00 AM–2:00 PM from June 8–June 22.
