University Libraries invites you to experience AIDS, Posters & Stories of Public Health: A People’s History of a Pandemic, a traveling exhibition from the National Library of Medicine.
On view across two campus locations:

June 1–20: Carlson Library North Gallery
June 22–July 10: Mulford Library

This powerful exhibit traces the history of HIV/AIDS through public health posters created by artists, activists, and communities. Presented during Pride Month, it offers an important opportunity to reflect on the ongoing impact of HIV/AIDS—particularly within LGBTQIA+ communities.
In addition to the traveling exhibit, explore materials from the UToledo community, including historical articles, letters, images, books, and film.

AIDS, Posters, and Stories of Public Health: A People’s History of a Pandemic AIDS Posters and Stories of Public Health: A People's History of a Pandemic looks at visual materials in the collection of HIV/AIDS ephemera at the National Library of Medicine that have spurred communities into action and continue to broadcast the message that AIDS is not over.

Becoming the Narrative: Fan Art, Community and Representation
April 13, 5–6 p.m. | Carlson Library Main Event Space

How do fans transform their love of anime and manga into creative expression and community? This panel explores how fan art allows artists to reinterpret characters and stories while representing their own identities and worldviews. Featuring April Conway, Barry Whittaker, Christopher Pickett, and Alice Nyburg. Presented in conjunction with Your Manga, Your Way: A Campus Exhibition.
