ππ HUGE shoutout to all of the high school students who crushed their CPR, AED, and First Aid training today as part of the LECOM Medical Science Academy event this week! ππ
These students absolutely knocked it out of the park, showing off their skills and dedication while learning how to make a real difference in an emergency situation. ππͺ The White Coats you see in the pictures, yeah that's the Med Students volunteering their time to help where needed. What a fantastic group of students!
Thanks to our amazing partners at Manatee County Search & Rescue and team members Brandi Bay and Sheena Leggett, students got a behind-the-scenes look at the world of search and rescue and volunteer public safety. Students had the opportunity to tour rescue vehicles, explore equipment used during search and rescue missions, learn about community service opportunities, and ask great questions about emergency preparedness, rescue operations, and serving their community. We canβt thank them enough for volunteering their time and sharing their knowledge and experience with the next generation of community leaders and public safety volunteers.
A special THANK YOU to LECOM and Dr. Salib for inviting us back again this year. We love having the opportunity to teach these incredible students and help spark their interest in the exciting world of emergency medicine! β€οΈ
And of course, a HUGE shoutout to our rockstar teamβDanielle Backhoff, Rick Backhoff, Rebecca Jenkins, and Theresa Imler! β None of this happens without your hard work, passion, and commitment to education. You are the real MVPs and superheroes behind the scenes! π¦ΈββοΈπ¦ΈββοΈ
Congratulations to all of the students on a job well done! We can't wait to see where your future takes you! πβ€οΈπ
