The 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 𝗣𝘂𝗹𝘀𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 marked something our team has been building toward since 2013: steady, 𝙞𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝙚𝙭𝙥𝙖𝙣𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙞𝙣𝙩𝙤 𝙣𝙚𝙬 𝙘𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙩𝙞𝙚𝙨 𝙖𝙘𝙧𝙤𝙨𝙨 𝙉𝙤𝙧𝙩𝙝 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙎𝙤𝙪𝙩𝙝 𝘾𝙖𝙧𝙤𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙖.

Carter Hears! provides direct and indirect services, Teachers of the Deaf, Educational Interpreters, and Language Facilitators, 𝘪𝘯 𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘥𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘪𝘤𝘵𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘯 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘣𝘦𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘦. Alongside that growth, our sister company Quill Model® continues expanding its professional development and training reach, 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝗮𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹𝘀 𝗮𝗹𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘆 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗗𝗛𝗛 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀.

Growth for us isn't a number. It's 𝙖 𝙨𝙩𝙪𝙙𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙞𝙣 𝙖 𝙣𝙚𝙬 𝙘𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙩𝙮 𝙣𝙤𝙬 𝙝𝙖𝙫𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙖𝙘𝙘𝙚𝙨𝙨 𝙩𝙤 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙨𝙥𝙚𝙘𝙞𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙯𝙚𝙙 𝙨𝙪𝙥𝙥𝙤𝙧𝙩 that changes their trajectory.

💙 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗙𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿'𝘀 𝗗𝗮𝘆, 𝘄𝗲 𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗱𝗮𝗱𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗳𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗳𝗶𝗴𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝘂𝗽 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲, 𝗱𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘂𝗻𝘄𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲.

We're thinking of the fathers who have taken a seat at the IEP table, learned new ways to communicate with their children, advocated for their needs, and continued showing up through every challenge and milestone along the way.

We're also honoring the Deaf fathers in our community, the CODA families navigating unique experiences together, and the hearing fathers who have embraced new languages, perspectives, and connections in support of their children.

As school years wrap up and ESY planning ramps up, there's a question worth holding: 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗲-𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘄𝘁𝗵 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗱𝗼𝗼𝗿𝘀 𝗰𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗲?

For DHH students, summer is not a neutral window. 𝙇𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙪𝙖𝙜𝙚 𝙙𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙡𝙤𝙥𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙞𝙨 𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙪𝙤𝙪𝙨, and when the structured support of a school year pauses, the families and programs that maintain language-rich environments make a real difference in outcomes.

𝘊𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘏𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘴! 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬𝘴 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘥𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘪𝘤𝘵𝘴 𝘰𝘯 𝘌𝘹𝘵𝘦𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘥 𝘚𝘤𝘩𝘰𝘰𝘭 𝘠𝘦𝘢𝘳 (𝘌𝘚𝘠) 𝘱𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘬𝘦𝘦𝘱𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘸𝘩𝘰𝘭𝘦-𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥 𝘧𝘳𝘢𝘮𝘦𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬 𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘢𝘤𝘵, supporting language access across ASL, Listening and Spoken Language (LSL), and combination of modalities, even through the summer transition.

Today, we honor the resilience, strength, and contributions of Black Americans throughout history and recognize that freedom is most meaningful when it is accompanied by opportunity, access, and belonging.
