Buildings account for a significant share of global energy use, and windows and doors are a major factor in how much of that energy is lost. High-performance fenestration directly reduces a building's energy load. Less heat is lost in winter, and less cool air is lost in summer. Over the lifetime of a building, that adds up.

It's a small part of a much larger story, but the details matter, and so does getting them right. Happy World Environment Day. 🌍

The Capitola Beach Residence is a stunning WIP project taking shape along the California coast, featuring a whole-house package of custom All Weather Series 8100 and 8150 Sliding Doors, Series 7000 Swing Door, and Series 6000 windows.

Every opening is oriented to pull the Pacific Ocean in, turning the surf and shoreline into a living backdrop for the home.
