Congratulations to the Templeton Academy Class of 2026!

Urban Trails’ for their last walk of the semester went back to where they started—at Blagden Alley and the Shaw neighborhood to look at architecture and murals. Swipe to see them back at the beginning of the semester!

On Saturday, three Templeton students helped judge the “Most Patriotic Pooch” contest as part of Yappy Hour at the National Archives Foundation’s Spirit of Independence Festival. They helped select three winning pups!

Students in Research Fundamentals visiting the National Archives for a program on the Freedom Train. They considered how museums choose some documents and artifacts to display out of the many available options.

Students in Marine Biology visited Dr. Rebecca Helm’s marine science lab at Georgetown University to learn more about the types of research her lab is undertaking and talk about how international policy works in helping to monitor and protect marine life in international waters.

Middle School STEM students at the US Botanic Garden to observe the plants that orangutans interact with and learn more about the importance of biodiversity in our food system.

Algebra 1 students went to the Shaw Basketball Court to film the parabolic motion of their basketball free throws. The students will be uploading their footage into a physics software and analyzing the math of the ball’s trajectory.
