I have this thing I say. Every time someone asks me how I am, I tell them "happy and blessed."
Not as a script. I say it because it's true.
One day I'm at the post office and the woman behind the counter doesn't even look up when I walk over. She asks how I'm doing in that flat, obligatory way we've all done a hundred times. Half present. Just moving through the day.
And I said it. "Happy and blessed!"
Something in my tone made her look up. She gave me this huge smile, and we got to talking for a minute. I told her the truth of it, which is so simple it almost sounds silly. I woke up this morning. That's reason enough. I’ve been happy and I’ve been sad and well… happy is better! I get to choose every single day.
As I walked away, I heard her turn to the man in line behind me. "Did you hear what that lady said? Isn't that great."
That was the whole thing. The smallest shift in how you show up can change the entire temperature of a room. And it costs you absolutely nothing.
I woke up this morning. I have the gift of another day ahead of me. I am happy and blessed.

For most of my life I believed making money would always be hard.
My mantra was simple, and I didn't even know I was repeating it. It's not going to be easy. It will be hard. But I'll just get by.
I learned that from my mother, who worked two jobs, came home exhausted every single night, and did her absolute best to raise three kids on her own. That belief about money, about survival, about scraping through, buried itself so deep into my nervous system that it stopped feeling like a belief at all.
It just felt like reality.
Things started to shift when I was running a full-time clinical practice. I had also started my coaching practice with a handful of clients, and I was deeply immersed in the study of metaphysics and consciousness, reading everything I could get my hands on.
Then one day I noticed something strange.
Whenever my caseload dipped, I'd think to myself, I need a few more clients. And almost like clockwork, within a day or two, they showed up. A referral. A new contract. An email out of nowhere from a former colleague wondering if I had room for more work.
At first I chalked it up to luck.
Then it happened again. And again. And again, until luck stopped being a believable explanation.
Eventually I started calling it my cosmic faucet. I could turn it on with a clear thought, and it never once failed me.
That's when something profound landed. My outer world was beginning to reflect a new inner truth, a belief I had slowly let myself adopt without quite realizing it. Money is everywhere. I just have to channel it.
Since then I've built six-figure income streams, multiple seven-figure assets, and a life I genuinely love, helping other people do the very same thing. And none of it started with tactics or marketing hacks. It started with shifting my consciousness and raising my money vibe.
This is not some fluffy idea. Your vibe, meaning your beliefs, emotions, attitudes and thoughts, is what sets the frequency you live in, and that frequency is what determines what comes into your life. When you shift from, “I'm stuck in survival” to “life responds to my consciousness” everything starts to move. Clients. Opportunities. Relationships. Inner peace.
They all come easier. Not because the inner work disappears, but because the struggle does.

I still remember the moment I opened the card.
I was broke. No groceries in the cupboard, no safety net underneath me, one missed rent payment away from being homeless again. That's the part people don't always understand about where I started. There was a version of my life where my mom rolled pennies just to afford sending me to a movie.
Inside the card was a check for five hundred dollars from my aunt and uncle. A graduation gift.
I burst into tears.
Not because of the money, though God knows I needed it. I cried because for the first time in longer than I could remember, I felt like maybe, just maybe, I was going to be okay.
That check paid my rent. It kept me afloat. But the truth is it did something far bigger than that. It cracked open a door I hadn't even known was standing there.
Around that same time I had just started reading Creative Visualization by Shakti Gawain. The idea that your thoughts could actually shape your reality had captivated and terrified me in equal measure, because it felt far too magical for someone like me. Someone who counted pennies. Someone who wasn't exactly dancing down the yellow brick road of life.
And then the five hundred dollars arrived.
I didn't fully believe it yet. But something shifted anyway, a quiet sense that maybe the universe wasn't against me after all.
That single moment set off a chain reaction I could never have predicted. I found the Unity Church. I became a coach. I began teaching the spiritual principles that would go on to transform not just my own life but the lives of thousands of other people.
Sometimes the first miracle isn't money.
It's possibility.

I had the degrees. The therapy. The journaling, lots of exercise, the coaching, the spiritual practices. Everything I could think of.
And life still felt heavy.
For years I told myself the problem was effort. That if I just worked the next thing hard enough, the heaviness would lift. So I kept swimming upstream, fixing one problem at a time, certain that the breakthrough was on the other side of trying harder.
It wasn't.
Then I found the work of Dr. David Hawkins, a psychiatrist who mapped human consciousness on a scale, from shame and guilt at the bottom all the way to peace and enlightenment at the top. The moment I saw that map, something settled in me that had been restless for a very long time.
He wasn't talking about mindset or your psychology. He was pointing to something underneath all of it. The energy, the frequency, the vibration humming beneath every thought and emotion and action I had ever had.
That's when it landed.
I wasn't stuck because I wasn't trying hard enough. I was stuck because of my ongoing level of consciousness, and no amount of effort was ever going to fix that, because effort was never the lever.
You can't think your way out of fear. You have to change the station entirely.
And when you do, life starts to move differently. Pressures ease. Opportunities appear. Peace stops being a thing you chase and becomes the baseline you live from. Not because you're pushing harder, but because you've finally come into alignment with the energy of what you actually want.
So if you're in that place where you're doing everything right and it still feels heavy, hear me on this. You don't need to do more.
You need to change your consciousness. That's where everything changes.
