The Education Freedom Tax Credit is a private school voucher program, championed by Project 2025 and Besty DeVos, and designed to funnel taxpayer funds into unaccountable K-12 private and religious schools.

These funds should be used to support public schools, not defund them.

Students on other campuses can follow suit by using the steps Montclair students took to help create policies that truly support student well-being.

The current college accreditation system is independent, not beholden to politicians or institutions, providing unbiased determinations on whether colleges are financially healthy and academically excellent.

The Trump administration wants to change that.

Seventh-grade history teacher Tom Ward's students don't just walk into class...they walk in complimenting his outfit. The California teacher has built a following of millions on Instagram for his retro classroom looks, but for him, it has always been about more than style.

Community Schools Grow, Despite Trump Attacks | NEA 06/06/2026

For many students and families, community schools are more than a place to learn. They provide food, healthcare, tutoring, legal services, and necessities that make it possible for children to show up, focus, and thrive. Last December, the Trump administration abruptly cut $132 million in grants for these programs across 11 states and Washington, D.C., and students felt the loss almost immediately.

Educators say the cuts were made not despite the success of community schools, but because of it. NEA has joined a coalition lawsuit to restore this funding and protect the students and communities these schools serve.

As Classroom Temperatures Rise, Educators Organize to Protect Students and Staff | NEA 06/05/2026

Every student deserves a school where they can focus, thrive, and stay healthy. But extreme heat is making that impossible in classrooms across the country—and students from lower-income families, who are less likely to have air conditioning at home or at school, bear the heaviest burden.

NEA members are refusing to accept that. From Colorado to New York to Connecticut, educators and their unions are pressing districts and lawmakers for real solutions and winning.

How are students supposed to learn when they haven't eaten?

Right now, millions of families are facing growing challenges. An estimated 3.5 million people have been cut off from SNAP since last year due to new restrictions from the Republican tax law, H.R. 1.

That means more children are at risk of going hungry.

At a time when the cost of groceries, gas, and healthcare continues to rise, ensuring students have access to school meals is one practical way to support families and help children succeed.

Tell Congress to pass the Universal School Meals Act so that all students nationwide can access free, nutritious school meals. 🚨 Take action at the link in the comments.
