Are you planning on taking your OPI soon? Read through these quick tips to help you get prepared! Once an application is submitted and considered complete (with at least one recommendation letter), applicants will be notified when they are eligible to schedule an Oral Proficiency Interview (OPI) in English. OPIs will be administered through July 10, 2026.

Full scholarships are available for U.S. citizens who have a college degree and are native speakers of Chinese Mandarin, Arabic, Russian, Persian Farsi, Korean, Ukrainian, Kazakh, Turkish and Hausa. Apply to the English for Heritage Language Speakers Program by June 16th, 2026.
