Thank you to Senator Catherine Cortez Masto for speaking on the Senate floor about the important role Dreamers play in communities across this country.

As she shared, Dreamers are doctors, teachers, researchers, entrepreneurs, caregivers, and community leaders helping strengthen this country every day. DACA recipients work hard to maintain their status, pursue their education and careers, and continue contributing to the communities they call home.

We see that impact every day through our Scholars and Alumni. They are building futures, filling critical workforce needs, supporting their families, and giving back to their communities, all while navigating continued uncertainty about their futures.

Dreamers deserve the chance to fully plan their lives, careers, and futures in the country they call home. Congress must pass the Dream Act and provide permanent protections for Dreamers once and for all.

Thank you Senator Cortez Masto for sharing Christian's story! The time to pass the Dream Act is now!

It’s graduation season, and we’re celebrating the incredible accomplishments of our Scholars across the country! 🎓

For these graduates at Delaware State University and our Scholars across nearly 80 Partner Colleges nationwide graduation is the result of years of hard work, resilience, and opportunity.

We’re proud to give TheDream.US Scholars a place to grow, build community, and pursue career dreams that once felt out of reach.

Now, our graduates are stepping into their futures ready to lead, contribute, and chase the careers they’ve worked so hard for.

Congratulations Scholars! We can’t wait to see what comes next!!

Yesterday, TheDream.US convened Senators Dick Durbin, Mark Kelly, and Alex Padilla alongside TheDream.US Alumni, Partner College leaders, business leaders, military families, and advocates on Capitol Hill to call for permanent protections for Dreamers and urgent passage of the Dream Act.

Ahead of Senator Durbin’s Senate spotlight hearing, we heard from Dreamers and leaders directly impacted by growing DACA delays and uncertainty, including TheDream.US President and CEO Gaby Pacheco, Kai Martin, a TheDream.US alum waiting on her DACA renewal to begin her PhD program at Howard University; Dixy Ortiz Osorio, a DMV-area elementary school teacher and TheDream.US alum; Lane Glenn, President of Northern Essex Community College and member of the Presidents’ Alliance Steering Committee; Jen Rickling, speaking about the uncertainty facing her daughter-in-law Annie Ramos and their military family; and Don Graham, co-founder of TheDream.US.

Together, speakers highlighted the real consequences Dreamers are facing every day — disrupted education, lost jobs, detention concerns, and uncertainty about whether they can continue building their futures in the country they call home.

Yesterday also marked the launch of DreamsDelayed.com, a new project from TheDream.US documenting the stories of Dreamers navigating delays, freezes, detention threats, and growing instability tied to DACA uncertainty.

The time to pass the Dream Act is now!

DACA renewals are taking longer right now and missing your window can mean losing your ability to work and stay protected.

Try to submit your renewal 150 days before your expiration date. Waiting until 120 days or less can put you at real risk of a gap in status.

We also know cost can be a barrier. That’s why we offer DACA Renewal Grants that cover the full fee. Apply starting 200 days before your DACA expires.

If you’re not sure what to do next, don’t guess. Join our May 20 webinar to hear from trusted experts and get your questions answered in real time.

Scholars and Alumni, check your email for registration details.

Planning ahead now can make all the difference.
