NABE Board Members had the opportunity to meet with Illinois State Representative Delia Ramirez to discuss issues impacting multilingual learners, their families, and the educators who serve them.

These important conversations help build awareness, strengthen relationships, and ensure that the experiences of multilingual communities are part of ongoing discussions about education and opportunity.

🎤 Today's keynote speaker, Montserrat Garibay, delivered a powerful message on the importance of advocacy and civic engagement in support of multilingual learners.

As participants prepare for Capitol Hill visits, Montserrat emphasized that sharing our stories, experiences, and expertise with policymakers is essential to ensuring that students, families, and educators are represented in important educational conversations.

Her message served as a reminder that meaningful change happens when we show up, speak up, and work together to support opportunities for multilingual learners across the nation.
