This June, we’re putting our dollars where our values are. Every Friday, we wear pink, spend green, and buy Black — starting this Friday with the food and flavors that make our community whole.

From Michelin-recognized kitchens to soul food institutions, Caribbean and African gems, late-night lounges, plant-based spots, and the cafés and bakeries on every corner — Black-owned food is culture, and every bite counts.

Join us for the Washington, D.C. Congressional Delegate Candidate Fair as we bring together candidates, community members, and voting resources ahead of the primary election. This is an opportunity to hear directly from the candidates, learn about ranked-choice voting, ask questions, and gain the information you need to make an educated decision at the polls.

Whether you’re a first-time voter or a lifelong voter, your participation matters. Together, we can build a more informed, engaged, and empowered community.

🤍Today, we honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. Memorial Day is more than a long weekend — it is rooted in remembrance, reflection, and history. Many historians recognize that one of the earliest Memorial Day observances was led by formerly enslaved Black Americans in Charleston, South Carolina, in 1865, as they honored Union soldiers who fought for freedom and justice.
As we gather with family and loved ones, may we also take time to remember the true meaning of this day and the history behind it. We honor those who gave their lives, reflect on the sacrifices made for our freedoms, and acknowledge the generations who ensured these stories would never be forgotten. 🇺🇸✨
