Have you heard that the U.K. announced plans to ban children under 16 from using major platforms? The proposal would cover 10 platforms, including TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Twitch, and Reddit.

This step aims to improve children's . We like the idea, but will it work?

Australia passed similar legislation in December 2024. Their efforts have received mixed reviews, as 61% of children ages 12 to 15 still have access to their accounts.
Currently, no country has successfully implemented such a ban. Australia is the furthest along in adopting such restrictions, but there is not yet enough evidence to determine whether they will improve children's safety or well-being.

With the restrictions expected to take effect next spring, do you think the U.S. should do something similar? Would it improve children's ? ? What do you suggest?
