For the past three years, PPR has proudly partnered with Riah Inc. Mentoring Group, an organization dedicated to empowering youth in Chicago Public Schools and creating positive opportunities for young people on Chicago’s South Side.

Through PPR workshop scholarships, Riah coaches have gained the education, coaching philosophy, and structured approach needed to teach pickleball while promoting the core values of teamwork, respect, perseverance, and community. Together, we're helping create meaningful experiences that extend far beyond the court.

A special thank you to the Salvation Army Kroc Center for hosting these workshops and to Mario Bates for his leadership and commitment to making an impact.

Meet Board Member Jim Harp - coach developer, high-performance specialist, entrepreneur, and lifelong advocate for coach education.

Jim’s journey in tennis began as a competitive player, earning NJCAA All-American honors before transitioning into a coaching career that has spanned more than two decades. His passion for player development and performance training has made him one a widely respected coach and educator in the industry.

As the founder of Harp Performance Tennis, Jim has helped countless players achieve their goals, from earning college scholarships to competing on the ITF Junior Circuit, ITF Futures, and professional ATP and WTA tours. His commitment to developing athletes is matched by his dedication to developing coaches through his work as a PTR and USTA Coach Developer.

Today, Jim continues to shape the future of tennis through coach education, high-performance training, and innovative leadership. His expertise, passion, and commitment to excellence have impacted players and coaches across the country and around the world.

We're proud to have Jim’s experience, vision, and dedication helping guide our organizations as we continue to support coaches and grow the game globally. 🎾

What an amazing PPR Level 1 Certification hosted by Beckie Mathis at her beautiful facility, Lucky Dog Pickleball in North Carolina!

A PTR Level 4 Professional, PPR Professional, and dedicated racquet sports leader, Beckie has been serving her community for more than 40 years. From tennis and pickleball camps to special holiday tournaments, her passion for helping others enjoy and grow in the game shines through in everything she does.

A big shoutout to Frank Adams, who kicked off his summer pickleball camp this week at Highlands Ranch Community Association in Denver, helping introduce and develop the next generation of players.

But Frank's impact goes far beyond the court. This Sunday, he'll also be leading a Youth Wheelchair Sports Camp, continuing his commitment to making sports accessible and welcoming for all athletes.
