Chef Sean Barger is introducing a playful, savory take on a classic with his Old Bay Savory Beignets, warm and airy with a light crisp that swaps sweetness for gentle coastal spice, creating a bite that feels both familiar and surprising and disappears quickly as it’s passed around the table.

This course adds a fun shift in texture and flavor to the evening, bringing its own moment of comfort and creativity to the lineup. More highlights are on the way as we continue sharing each course from this year’s multi course experience.

We had a special visit from our friends at the Westerville Library today, and the bus felt a little extra magical. Our kids were so excited to check out their very own books. Summer started off with a bang on The Big Bus. Our kids read about astronauts, practiced addition, and explored pressure with Alka-Seltzer rockets. Learning lifted off this week- and we’re just getting started!

Meza Wine Shop Spotlight ✨

For Tatjana Brown, wine has always been tied to family, culture, and bringing people together. Raised by Serbian parents on Cleveland’s east side, she grew up helping make homemade wines and learning firsthand how food and wine create connection and community.

That passion eventually led Tatjana and her husband, Jason, to open Meza Wine Shop in 2008, becoming pioneers in Uptown Westerville as one of the area’s first wine shops and among the earliest businesses to receive a liquor license in historically dry Westerville.

Named after the Serbian word “Meza,” meaning small bites shared before a meal, the shop reflects the experience Tatjana has always loved most: gathering around the table, discovering something new, and creating moments worth savoring.

Today, Meza continues to spark discovery through its thoughtfully curated wines, charcuterie, and community‑centered experiences, all of which beautifully echo the spirit of Dinner Under the Lights.
