TLDR: Ohio PTA is teaming up with Roblox — yes that Roblox(!) —for a candid conversation about keeping kids safe online and how parents can help advocate policies, products, and online spaces for kids.

As parents, we all want the same thing: for our children to explore, learn, connect, and have fun online in ways that are safe, positive, and age-appropriate. We also know that questions about screen time, online safety, and digital independence come from a very real place — wanting what’s best for our kids.

In a candid discussion, Dr. Elizabeth Milovidov (fellow parent and Senior Director of Global Parental Advocacy at Roblox) will share practical guidance for navigating technology alongside our children, including the importance of open conversations about online habits, using tools like parental controls, and building healthy digital trust over time. The session will explore how insights from parents can shape the products, policies, and online spaces young people use every day.

The presentation will be followed by a live Q&A moderated by Nicole Lesnick, Ohio PTA President, featuring Dr. Elizabeth and Eliza Jacobs, Vice President of Safety Product Policy at Roblox.

Eligibility:

* You must be a PTA leader and/or member, at either the local, council, region, or state level.

* You must be able to participate in the virtual focus group session via Zoom with audio and video turned on.

* If selected you will have a five (5) minute grace period to login after the scheduled start of the focus group. If you join anytime afterward, you will not be eligible for any prize raffle for the scheduled event.

Ryan and Courtney's incredible dedication to the WPC board over the past three years has made a lasting impact. As they take on new (to them!) leadership roles within PTSA and Booster organizations, we wish them boundless success and invite everyone to join us in wishing them a bright future!

A special congratulations to two students who will advance to the National Level of the competition:

▪️Shae Merrill - Photography - Primary Division (K-2nd grades) - Pointview Elementary PTA

National PTA winners will be announced on May 1, 2026. We wish these outstanding artists the very best as we await the final results!

Students who placed 1st, 2nd, and 3rd at the state level have been invited to attend the Ohio PTA Reflections Luncheon on April 25th.
