Leadership is learned by doing, which is exactly what students did at Tower Hill’s Summer Institute leadership programs. With participatory learning and leading, students in rising 8-12th grades strengthened their skills and confidence as communicators, collaborators and idea generators. Experts shared and inspired, including executives, entrepreneurs, nonprofit leaders, educators and community advocates.
In Foundations in Leadership, students built confidence in public speaking, teamwork and decision-making and delivered a culminating speech.
In Field Studies in Leadership, students explored their own leadership journeys by interviewing community leaders and creating original documentaries and podcasts that examined leadership from various perspectives.
We can’t wait to see you in summer 2027!

🐝 The Tower Hill Apiary has new friends. This spring, local alumna Cynthia Reynolds Farris '64 and her husband Nelson Ferris reported a swarm of honey bees on their property. Faculty Jessica Hart and Marina Attix notified beekeeper and Tower Hill science teacher Lauren Helfgott who jumped into action by collecting the swarm and then rehoming them at the Tower Hill Apiary on campus.
