You found out you were pregnant and felt everything at once — joy, gratitude, wonder, and then quietly… so many questions. 🤍
What is actually happening in my body right now? What will labour feel like? What does this medication do? What happens after the baby comes?
Most of us go to our prenatal appointments and leave with numbers and measurements — but not with understanding. And understanding is what actually prepares you.
Because there is a difference between being monitored and being supported. Between ticking boxes and genuinely knowing what lies ahead.
The more you understand your pregnancy and birth, the less you fear it. And the less you fear it, the more present and grounded you can be — for yourself, for your baby, and in your deen.
That's what the AMANI Birth Blessed Start Course is built for. Evidence-based education, ongoing support, and someone who walks alongside you every step of the way. You don't have to piece it together alone from Google at midnight.
Swipe through and save this. Share it with a mama who is full of questions and not sure where to start. 🌿
💬 What was one question you had early in pregnancy that you wish someone had answered sooner? Drop it below — I read every single one and I'll answer as many as I can.
And if you want the full picture — comment "START" and I'll send you all the details about the course. ⬇️

Rooted in Justice, Carried in Faith: A Call to Protect Black Mothers

Rooted in Justice, Carried in Faith: A Call to Protect Black Mothers
Written By: Amina Muse and Zakirah Idrissu As Martin Luther King Jr. once said, “Of all forms of inequality, injustice in health is the most shocking and inhumane.” In the United States, April 11th–17th is recognized as Black Maternal Health Week. This observance brings national attention to t...

We were taught to fight it.
Nobody taught us to understand it.
Here's what they didn't tell you 👇
Your nausea isn't random. It's driven by a hormone called GDF-15, released by your placenta the moment pregnancy begins.
The higher your sensitivity to it, the harder your first trimester hits.
Which means your suffering isn't weakness.
It's biology.
And the most common things women do to cope, skipping meals, avoiding fluids, waiting it out, actually make GDF-15's effects harder to manage, not easier.
Your body isn't asking you to push through.
It's asking you to nourish it through.
There's a difference. And that difference is everything.
When you eat before the nausea peaks, keep blood sugar stable, stay ahead of dehydration and understand your personal triggers, the first trimester becomes something you can actually navigate. Not just survive.
This is exactly what we built our free Nausea & Nutrition Guide for.

To every husband reading this — she needs you in that room. Not just your presence. You. 🤍
Most fathers want to be there for their wives during pregnancy and birth. But wanting to help and knowing how to help are two very different things.
Nobody teaches husbands what labour actually looks like. Nobody tells them how to offer comfort when she can't speak. Nobody explains when to speak up to the medical team, or when to just hold her hand and make dua.
That gap isn't a failure. It's just a lack of preparation. And preparation is something we can fix together.
When a husband understands the birth process — when he knows what's normal, what to expect, and how to support — something shifts. She feels safer. He feels steadier. And that room feels completely different.
That's why the AMANI Birth Blessed Start Course includes the birth partner too. Because birth preparation isn't only for mothers. When families learn together, they walk into birth as a team.
Tag your husband. Share this with a couple who has a baby on the way. 🌿
And complete this sentence in the comments 👇 "One thing I wish more husbands knew about supporting their wives in pregnancy or birth is ______"
💬 Comment "START" and I'll send you everything about the Blessed Start Course

The Last Days of Pregnancy: Slowing Down & Trusting the Timing
Labor doesn't always begin in a big, obvious way.
It can unfold softly, without clear signs at the start.

The Last Days of Pregnancy: Slowing Down & Trusting the Timing
Written By: Zeinab Uddin Those last days of pregnancy can feel really long. You're tired, you're heavy, you're ready, and at the same time, nothing is really happening yet. Every little feeling makes you pause and wonder, "Is this it?" And then the messages start… "Any signs?" "Baby here yet?" Wit...

The Trauma We Carry as Doulas — And the Healing We Often Neglect
Doulas often witness women during some of the most vulnerable moments. Repeated exposure to distress and trauma can impact their own nervous systems.

The Trauma We Carry as Doulas — And the Healing We Often Neglect
Written By: Ayisha Chandni Doulas are trained to hold space for others. To stay calm in intensity. To support through uncertainty. To regulate the room when emotions rise. To witness birth in all its beauty and unpredictability. But what we rarely talk about is this: Who holds space for the doulas?....

✨ Did you know? Only about 5% of babies are born on their estimated due date!
Due dates are helpful guides, but they aren't guarantees. Birth is a process designed by Allah, and babies often choose their own timing. Some arrive a little earlier, some a little later, and both can be completely normal.
Too often, parents wait until the final weeks of pregnancy to start preparing for birth, only to realize that babies don't always follow the timeline we had in mind. Preparation isn't just about having a hospital bag packed—it's about building knowledge, confidence, and practical skills that can support you whenever labor begins.
The earlier you invest in understanding birth, comfort measures, decision-making, postpartum planning, and your options as a mother, the more equipped you may feel when your baby's special day arrives—whether that's before, on, or after your due date.
🌿 Knowledge can replace uncertainty with confidence.
🌿 Preparation can help reduce fear.
🌿 Support can make a meaningful difference in your birth experience.
