4th graders held their annual electric convention, an opportunity to showcase their electric projects to lower school students and faculty!
These projects and games were created during science class, applying the concepts of circuits, conductors, insulators, and switches. Using simple and recycled materials, students were challenged to use their understanding of electricity concepts to build an electrical invention that lit up.

Former WFS art teacher and parent of alum Cynthia Mellow returned to campus this spring, stepping in as a substitute for Teacher Teal and working with students in grades 1–5.
Reflecting on the experience, she shared, “I was teaching many students whose parents I taught in the U.S. during my tenure. This was wonderful!”
It’s always a joy to welcome you back to campus, Cynthia!

5th grade ukulele players took their music on the road during the final week of school, visiting classrooms to share a short performance and a little joy.
What began as a musical outreach experience quickly became something more. Our younger learners asked thoughtful questions about learning to play the ukulele, leading to conversations about the value of practice over perfection, the importance of consistency and commitment, and the perseverance required when learning something new.
Great work!
