We are so grateful to US Representative Sarah McBride for the generous funding she secured for our Adult Education Division & Delaware Skills Center! On Tuesday she visited DSC to highlight the $1 million in Community Project Funding she secured. The funds will help further NCCVT's goal to consolidate Adult Education & Skills Center programming into one facility, expanding training capacity, improving efficiency, reducing long-term operating costs, and strengthening Delaware's workforce pipeline. The project will help to eliminate ongoing rental expenses while creating opportunities for future growth and will help ensure adult students continue to have access to the hands-on training, clinical experiences, and workforce development resources they need to succeed.
NCCVT's Adult Education programs, including the Delaware Skills Center, have continued to grow to meet demand. This school year, our adult programs served more than 2,100 students with a 96% completion rate. These programs include rapid workforce training, apprenticeships, GED preparation, and English for non-native speakers.
