AND WE'RE OFF!

The curtain has officially risen on the 2026 GHCDS Encore Summer Theater Experience!

Today was an exciting first day as our campers arrived ready to begin their Matilda the Musical journey. The day was filled with introductions, team-building games, a tour of our facilities, and plenty of opportunities to make new friends and reconnect with familiar faces.

The highlight of the day? Our very first read-through and sing-through of Matilda! For the first time, campers heard the story come to life as they explored the script, sang through the music, and began imagining the characters they will bring to the stage over the next five weeks.

There was laughter, energy, creativity, and excitement around every corner as students took their first steps toward creating something truly magical together.

We can't wait to watch these young performers grow in confidence, collaboration, and creativity as they learn, rehearse, and prepare for opening night.

Here's to an incredible summer of storytelling, friendship, and theater magic!

Today, you crossed the stage as graduates of Good Hope Country Day School and joined the proud ranks of Panther alumni.

Over the years, you have challenged yourselves academically, served your community, performed on our stages, competed on our fields, explored your passions, and left your mark on our school in countless ways. You have grown into thoughtful leaders, compassionate friends, and confident young adults ready to take on the world.

As you leave our campus and begin your next chapter, remember that you will always have a home at GHCDS. Carry forward the lessons you have learned, the friendships you have built, and the values that have guided you here.

We are incredibly proud of all that you have accomplished and even more excited for all that is yet to come.

Class of 2026 Takes Their Final Walk Through GHCDS

Today, the members of the GHCDS Class of 2026 participated in one of our school's most meaningful traditions—the Final Campus Walk.
Dressed in their caps and gowns, our seniors made their way through the campus that has been their second home for so many years. Along the route, students from Nursery through 11th Grade lined the walkways, applauding, cheering, and celebrating the graduates who once stood where they stand today.
For many members of the Class of 2026, this walk was especially meaningful. They reflected on years of learning, friendships, performances, competitions, field trips, challenges overcome, and countless memories made along the way. As they passed classrooms, teachers, and younger students, they were reminded of the community that helped shape them into the remarkable young adults they are today.

The Final Campus Walk serves as both a celebration and a farewell—a chance for our seniors to pause, reflect on how far they have come, and recognize the legacy they leave behind for future Panthers.
Congratulations, Class of 2026. We are proud of all you have accomplished and excited to see where your journey leads next. No matter where life takes you, you will always be part of the GHCDS family.

Amalie Laeah Figueroa earns the GHCDS Spirit Award. This award goes all the way back to 1999 and is voted on by all the high school students as the student who embodies the GHCDS “Spirit”.
