Gifft Hill School's offices are closed today in observance of Juneteenth, a holiday that commemorates the end of slavery in the United States. We wish everyone a meaningful day of reflection and remembrance.

University Bound (UB) (formerly Upward Bound) is a college preparatory program designed to generate the skills and motivation that lead to academic success for students in high school and beyond. University Bound extends its services to high school students from families meeting low income criteria, potential first generation college students, and students with academic needs who may benefit from the program services. It seeks to help students who have academic ability, but who may not have the preparation, motivation or opportunity to realize or demonstrate their full potential. UB provides a unique experience with a different meaning for each student who is eager to grow and learn in a setting designed for success. Click the link for more.

Congratulations to our fifth graders on their successful completion of elementary school! We celebrated their upcoming transition to the Upper Campus with a special ceremony this week that highlighted the unique contributions each student brings to the class. As part of the celebration, each student delivered a heartfelt speech reflecting on their Lower Campus journey and the memories they've made along the way. We are so proud of all they've accomplished and look forward to seeing them thrive in middle school. Kudos, fifth grade!

Funnest last day of school ever! Our Lower Campus students celebrated the impending summer break with a field day full of fun and games on Trayser Field. We hope our GHS community has a safe and enjoyable summer.
