🇧🇪 FROM PTIT TO THE WORLD: STUDENTS CONFIDENTLY INTEGRATE AND BUILD REAL-WORLD SOLUTIONS THROUGH INDUSTRY PROJECTS IN BELGIUM

Following the first phase of learning, connecting, and brainstorming in Vietnam, the journey of Industry Project 2026 officially moved to its next chapter at Howest University of Applied Sciences (Howest) in Belgium.

From June 6 to June 21, 2026, 10 outstanding students from Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology - including 03 students from the Ho Chi Minh City campus - spent 02 intensive weeks alongside their 13 Howest peers to study, collaborate in teams, and develop projects in an international learning and research environment.

🤝 Moving past the initial icebreakers, the students are now fully immersed in the high-energy workflow of a global project team: brainstorming, delegating tasks, refining concepts, testing solutions, and learning to sync with one another through every work session. There might have been some “hiccups" due to language barriers, differing mindsets, or project approaches, but it was through these hurdles that they learned to communicate, take control, and gain confidence in a multicultural setting.

💡 A standout feature of this program is that students tackle challenges derived from the real-world needs of major tech enterprises and partners, including Actemium C Q GAO, FPT AI, Azota, and SotaTek.

Divided into 05 international project teams, they co-developed high-application tech solutions such as computer vision, image processing, speech recognition, industrial manufacturing data analysis, AI assistants, and enterprise knowledge systems. These topics are closely aligned with today's urgent digital transformation demands: digital education, smart construction, industrial manufacturing, automation, and corporate digitalization.

🎯 More than "stepping out of their comfort zones," this experience provides PTIT students with invaluable tangible assets for their future careers: working with teammates from different backgrounds to tackle real industry pain points, they don’t just learn to adapt and thrive, they will graduate from the program with a concrete project/product to enrich their CVs, portfolios, or professional profiles.

👏 Congratulations to our 10 PTIT students for successfully completing an unforgettable 02-week experience at Howest University of Applied Sciences, Belgium! Your journey will arm you with not just academic knowledge, but valuable lessons about teamwork and adaptability to work in an international setting.
Following the onsite phase in Belgium, the students will enter the Online Refinement Phase from June 21 to July 3, 2026. This period will be dedicated to polishing their final products, preparing results reports, and participating in the final program evaluation. We hope you maintain the incredible energy built up throughout this journey, wrap up your projects meticulously, and conclude the 2026 Industry Project Program with pride-worthy results!

🇻🇳 EXPERIENCING VIETNAMESE CULTURE – A HIGHLIGHT OF PTIT INTERNATIONAL SUMMER SCHOOL 2026: GLOBAL INNOVATION

Alongside intensive workshops, lab sessions, and team projects, PTIT International Summer School 2026: Global Innovation brought students a truly special experience: A journey to the ‘land of the ancient capital’ of Ninh Binh. The breathtaking limestone karsts and emerald waters of Trang An painted a serene backdrop for the trip, giving students the perfect space to unwind, connect, and make unforgettable memories together. 🚣‍♂️✨

🌎 For the international students, this was far more than a sightseeing tour. It was an amazing opportunity to have an up-close, more authentic, and more vibrant view of Vietnam, through its signature landscapes, local atmosphere, and shared moments with their peers.

And for our Vietnamese students, this journey held immense value as well. It was a wonderful opportunity to:
✅ Bond closely with international peers outside the classroom environment.
✅ Confidently communicate, share, and navigate a multicultural setting.
✅ Rediscover familiar Vietnamese landmarks through a fresh, global perspective.
✅ Create beautiful, natural memories that will last a lifetime.

🤝 POSTS AND TELECOMMUNICATIONS INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY WELCOMES AND HOLDS WORKING SESSION WITH HOWEST UNIVERSITY OF APPLIED SCIENCES, BELGIUM

🎉 On June 22, 2026, Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology (PTIT) met with representatives from Howest University of Applied Sciences, Belgium. The meeting aimed to review ongoing joint initiatives and map out strategic cooperation directions for the future.

Attending the meeting on behalf of PTIT were:
➖ Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Quang Anh – Vice President of PTIT
➖ Dr. Nguyen Viet Hung – Deputy Head of the Department of Science, Technology Management and International Cooperation
➖ Along with officers and lecturers from Center for International Education.
Representing Howest University of Applied Sciences was:
➖ Ms. Mieke Demeyere – Vice President of Education, Students and Internationalization

📌 At the meeting, both sides reviewed the recent notable results from their institutional collaboration. These range from initial academic connections in the fields of Extended Reality (XR), e-learning, and digital education to practical faculty exchanges, guest lectures, international project development, and experiential learning programs for students.

Notably, in 2026, the partnership continues to expand through substantial initiatives. These include developing international project proposals within the VLIR-UOS framework, organizing Industry Project involving faculty teachers and students from both institutions in Vietnam and Belgium, and fostering new opportunities for internships, academic exchanges, and collaboration in fields such as Artificial Intelligence, Creative Technology, Digital Arts, Game Design, and Multimedia Communications.

📌 At present, lecturers and students from Howest University of Applied Sciences are participating in the PTIT International Summer School 2026 alongside other international and PTIT students. Through intensive workshops, prototyping activities, multinational teamwork, and cultural exchanges, the students have the unique opportunity to apply their knowledge to real-world problem-solving while cultivating creativity, design thinking, and cross-border collaborative skills.

📌 Building upon these successful outcomes, PTIT and Howest discussed strategic directions for the next phase. Future efforts will focus on expanding dual-direction student and faculty exchanges, co-funding international projects, promoting reciprocal internship programs, enhancing industry-linked learning, and building sustainable cooperative networks between the faculties, research groups, and industrial partners of both sides.

🚀 68 STUDENTS FROM 22 COUNTRIES, 6 TECH WORKSHOPS, AND THE FIRST INNOVATIVE IDEAS FORMED AT PTIT INTERNATIONAL SUMMER SCHOOL 2026: GLOBAL INNOVATION

Week 1 of PTIT International Summer School 2026: Global Innovation has officially wrapped up! It was packed with dynamic academic activities, marking the beginning of an incredible journey of learning, creativity, and global collaboration for 68 students representing 22 nationalities.

During the first 5 days, participants immersed themselves in an intensive lineup of workshops focusing on technology, innovation, and product development, including:

💡 Creative Technology
💡 Product Ideation & Development
💡 Data Science Workshop
💡 Tools & Prototype Development

In addition to exploring cutting-edge technology trends such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), big data, and creative technology, students were introduced to the practical product development pipeline—from identifying user needs and brainstorming ideas to building functional prototypes.

Beyond the classroom lectures, the 68 students were divided into 09 international project teams. Here, members from diverse countries, academic majors, and cultural backgrounds are working side-by-side under the guidance of dedicated mentors to develop unique product ideas inspired by Vietnamese culture and global challenges.

7 days—6 breakthrough tech workshops unlocked—and the very first project concepts have officially emerged! These 7 days have kicked off the summer of 2026 in an exceptionally meaningful way for our summer school students. ✨ There is "Emily in Paris," and there is “Tran Huy Hoang in Paris" ✨

🇫🇷 For many, Paris is a classic - an icon of architecture, art, fashion, and that uniquely elegant lifestyle. Perhaps that is why setting foot in Paris is always a dream-come-true experience for so many young people. And that dream really came true for Tran Huy Hoang during his current exchange semester at Heilbronn University of Applied Sciences (HHN) (from March 2026 to July 2026). The young man gave himself a weekend getaway to the most magnificent city in France.

🧳 This was not just a chance to explore a city that prides itself as one of the most beautiful in Europe, but also an opportunity for Hoang to experience a new rhythm of life, where he observed, felt, and learned real-world lessons no university lectures can teach. They all add to a more proactive and adaptable version of him, making him ready for a much broader, open-minded perspective on the world.
