🍃This July, a special collaborative project between the RMIT Vietnam Library, Charity & Environment Club (CEC) and Japanese Culture Club (JCC) will be officially launched. Inspired by Japanese minimalism and sustainable living, we are creating a fresh, hands-on experiential space for you to explore.

🎉Sustainability Impact Challenge 2026 is officially here!

Co-organised by RMIT Vietnam, University of Social Sciences & Humanities, International University, and Vietnamese - German University, SIC 2026 empowers students to embark on their sustainability journeys through hands-on learning and real-world challenges.

❓Who should join SIC 2026?

✅ Aged 18-24 currently residing in Vietnam
✅ Undergraduate or recent graduates from diverse disciplines
✅ Interested in sustainability, innovation, or community impact
✅ Able to commit fully to the 8-week program duration, with average commitment of approximately 15 hours per week

This year, SIC registration is structured with 2 phases:

👉 𝗣𝗵𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝟭 - 𝗔𝗽𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺. This round is for us to understand who you are, your interest in sustainability, and what’s inspired you to be the change this year.

👉 𝗣𝗵𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝟮 - 𝗢𝗯𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱. This is for you to showcase your ability to work with others, your eagerness for sustainability challenges, and how you can solve the problems heads-on.

𝗣𝗿𝗲𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲: Current RMIT students from Semester 3 to Semester 6, able to work for three consecutive semesters.

𝗛𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀: 16- 20 hours/week (cover 3 night shifts/week and weekends)

𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗛𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀: 5PM - 9PM (weekdays) and weekends

As part of 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐐𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐥, a library initiative designed to foster a global reading culture through country-themed experience. 𝑽𝒊𝒆𝒕𝒏𝒂𝒎 – 𝑬𝒙𝒑𝒍𝒐𝒓𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑳𝒊𝒃𝒓𝒂𝒓𝒚: 𝑨 𝑱𝒐𝒖𝒓𝒏𝒆𝒚 𝑻𝒉𝒓𝒐𝒖𝒈𝒉 𝑪𝒖𝒍𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒆, 𝑯𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒐𝒓𝒚 & 𝑲𝒏𝒐𝒘𝒍𝒆𝒅𝒈𝒆 brought together nearly 200 students and staff across campuses for a vibrant and engaging learning event.

🇻🇳 Held in celebration of Vietnam’s Reunification Day, the contest also highlighted recent updates to provincial and city names, helping participants stay informed about the country’s evolving landscape.

The interactive challenge saw enthusiastic participation, with one student from Hanoi and one from Saigon South delivering the fastest correct responses and earning well-deserved prizes.

Beyond the activities, participants were reminded of the wide range of RMIT Vietnam Library services available to support their academic journey—from digital resources to physical collections and study support spaces.
