When the theme aligns with my personal interests, it feels more like playtime than work!

Oh dear, this cake was a real workout! I’ve been sculpting figures for over a decade, but tackling the human body and face is like trying to do a handstand push-up after a marathon. My dear CrossFitter friend asked for a figurine in a yoga pose with a barbell. I thought, “Sure, how hard can it be?” Spoiler alert: I didn’t sleep much last week. 😅

In the end, she loved it, so I could finally relax and stop dreaming about tiny barbells. There’s always room for improvement, but that’s what keeps me on my toes (and occasionally pulling my hair out). I guess that’s why I love my job—there’s always a new challenge, even if it sometimes feels like a CrossFit session for my brain! 🧠💪🎂

Et voilà, the grand masterpiece: the Lego Ninjago cake!

All that hard work of slicing Lego bricks and painting Ninjago figures has finally paid off. At the last minute, I threw in a pagoda-style gate because why not add a touch of Zen to this sugary extravaganza?

Fingers crossed Idris loves it as much as I do—or at least doesn't use it as a building block😄
