🦁 A Roaring Good Day at the SAA Museum 🛩️

Our Grade R Lions had a fantastic morning at the SAA Museum Society today.

They enjoyed learning about how aeroplanes have evolved over the years, exploring different types of aircraft, and seeing several historic aeroplanes up close. 🛩️

We are incredibly proud of the way our Lions conducted themselves throughout the outing. They were respectful, attentive, and enthusiastic, representing Abacus Kids Academy beautifully. The tour guide even complimented our group on their excellent behaviour!

Well done, Lions. You made us very proud today! ❤️✈️

And a heartfelt thank you to Teacher Essie and Teacher Phumzile for taking such wonderful care of our children and ensuring they had a safe, enjoyable, and memorable time. 🌟

In line with our theme, Safety, our children enjoyed a fun and interactive safety awareness visit organised by AfriForum Germiston and Alberton in partnership with S.W.S Security.

The children participated enthusiastically, answering questions and sharing their own safety knowledge. We were especially proud when Bophelo reminded everyone never to open the door for strangers and never to take sweets from someone they do not know. 👏

We were also blown away by the generosity shown to our learners. Each child received a cupcake 🧁, a party pack 🎁, and a knitted teddy bear 🧸.

A heartfelt thank you to AfriForum Germiston and Alberton and S.W.S Security for this special visit. A particularly special thank you to Elzabe and Masha , whose warmth, enthusiasm, and energy made the interaction so much fun and had the children completely engaged from start to finish. ❤️

In line with this week's theme, Safety, we were delighted to welcome 🚓 CPS Security to spend time with our little learners today 🦺

The children learned about stranger danger, safety, security, and important emergency contact information. They also had the opportunity to ask lots of questions, which led to some very interesting and entertaining discussions 😄

A highlight of the day was when one of our learners got to try on a bulletproof vest and proudly announced that it "itches my ears!" 😂

We are thankful for opportunities like these that help our children learn about safety in a fun, engaging, and age-appropriate way.

This week, as part of our *Safety Theme* and *Whoopee Wednesday* fun, our little learners got creative by painting, sticking, and colouring their very own giant traffic lights! 🎨🖍️

While having lots of fun, the children also learned about the important colours of a traffic light and how they help keep us safe on the roads:

🐬✨ Our Little Ocean Protectors ✨🐬

Today our little ocean protectors celebrated World Ocean Day by dressing in beautiful shades of blue and green, reminding us of the oceans, rivers, plants and precious natural world that keep our planet healthy.

The children had so much fun learning about marine life, ocean conservation and the importance of caring for our environment. Through play, creativity and discovery, we are helping to inspire a generation that loves and respects our oceans.

Together, we can make a difference, one little wave at a time! 🌊🐠🐢💙💚

🚴🏽‍♀️ 🚴🏻‍♂️ Today it was the Buffalo's turn to take a spin on our bike track as we learnt all about transport. From steering their bikes to exploring different ways we travel, our little learners had a wheelie great time while developing important skills through play 🚸😊

As part of our learning, we also practised important road safety rules, including stopping, looking and listening, following traffic signs, and understanding how to stay safe around roads and vehicles. 🚦🛑

🚦🚲 Today, our adorable Elephants have been exploring the exciting world of *transport* and road safety. Through fun, interactive activities on our bike track, the children learned about traffic lights, road signs, and simple safety rules while enjoying plenty of movement and adventure. 🛑🚸

Learning through play helps our little ones develop balance, coordination, confidence, and an early awareness of how to stay safe when out and about. We loved seeing their enthusiasm as they practised being responsible road users! 🚗✨

🚦🚲 In line with this week's theme, Transport, our little Giraffes and Rhinos had great fun zooming around the bike track while learning about different road signs and basic road safety rules. It was a wonderful hands-on experience that helped develop their coordination, confidence, and understanding of how to stay safe on the roads 🚗🛑🚸

🩴✨ Slipper Day 2026 ✨🩴

Today our little dreamers swapped their shoes for comfy slippers as we joined the Reach For A Dream Foundation's Slipper Day campaign. 💙

The children enjoyed a cosy morning filled with smiles, a special movie, delicious popcorn, and warm hot chocolate. 🍿☕

Thank you to all our wonderful families for supporting this worthy cause. Every sticker purchased helps Reach For A Dream bring hope, joy, and unforgettable moments to children facing life-threatening illnesses.

Together, we helped make dreams come true, one slipper at a time. 💫❤️
