YEEE HAAA! 🩳 Summer is around the corner and its finally time to bring out those shorts 🥳 It's one of those items in your wardrobe thats mostly associated with "home or comfort wear". But the truth is - if you can find a good pair you will quickly learn how versatile they are and you will be hooked for life!

Some tips:
✔️Find your ideal length. Most women look best in mid-length shorts. Petite girls tend to look better in shorter shorts because showing a bit more skin will give the illusion of longer legs. If you’re taller than average, you’re more likely to be able to pull off Bermuda shorts, which tend to look frumpy on the rest of us. Mid-length shorts are pretty much universally flattering.

✔️Pay attention to the leg opening. Ideally you want your shorts to follow the line of the leg without being too tight. If they’re too wide, you’ll look frumpy, but you also don’t want them to be too tight through the hips and rear.

✔️Buy quality shorts. As we get older, quality matters more and more — and that is especially true with shorts. Keep it classy with good quality shorts in classic styles, and pair them with dressier tops when you want a more upscale look.

HAIR STEAMING 👱🏻‍♀️ Call me old fashioned or out dated - but I never knew this technique existed until now 🙈 And girls - for those of you who is constantly struggling with the health of your hair after highlights and colour applications - you can send me chocolates after introducing you to this AMAZING treatment 🤣🤪👌🏻

Hair steaming is apparently a technique that’s been used for donkey’s years, particularly in afro hair salons where it’s an intrinsic part of caring for your hair. Essentially, you coat your hair in nourishing oils, apply heat (that’s where the ginormo retro heater comes in) and leave your hair to absorb all the vapours while the machine puffs behind you like a merry old smoker.

Steaming is basically the process of using moist heat to help open up the hair follicle, lift the cuticle on the hair shaft and allow conditioner and treatments to pe*****te each strand to allow better absorption of moisture. It is one of the best things you can do to pamper your hair, as the heat aids in hydrating dry hair leaving you a VERY happy customer!!

THREADING VS WAXING 😵 If you are anything like me, you utterly dread that visit to your beautician every 2 to 3 weeks! You KNOW what's coming 😩 You pull every move in the book to plan effectively to try and make it as painless as possible! The last thing you need is to wonder which technique works better - SO I've decided to put a little list together that might help 😜

WAXING:
➡️ Hair grows back thinner
➡️ Great to remove hair for larger areas
➡️ Hyperpigmentation can occur
➡️ If not done correctly, could cause premature wrinkles
➡️ On certain medication, one cannot wax

THREADING:
➡️ Less aggressive on skin
➡️ No heat or chemicals
➡️ Redness disappears faster
➡️ Safe for people taking medication
➡️ Precise shape
➡️ Sensitive skin can experience tenderness
➡️ The wrong thread can result in irritated skin

From personal experience, threading has been my face pick since 2010. With waxing left to the lower body!
