Wanted: Pretend Play / Imaginative Play Equipment

Hello everyone 😊

We are looking for items to expand our school’s pretend play and imaginative play area.

I would love to set up a pretend hair salon (a small table, chair, mirror, hair trolley, etc. – I already have some of the hairdressing tools 😅). I’m always the one who has to sit down first for a “hair appointment,” otherwise I get into trouble! 😂😂

We are also looking for:

• A play kitchen with a fridge, stove, ironing board, and other household items.

• A pretend grocery store. I already have 5 small shopping trolleys, some play fruit, and a cash register/till, but we are still looking for additional shop items.

• A workshop corner with plastic tools and gardening equipment.

If anyone has items that are no longer being used, are taking up space, are destined for the bin, or are available for sale at a reasonable price, please let me know. 😁

I would love to give our children more opportunities for imaginative and role play. It is such an important part of early childhood development and helps build creativity, language skills, social skills, confidence, and problem-solving abilities. It also gets them excited about helping Mom and Dad at home! ❤️
