SUCCESS NEEDS A FOUNDATION.
Not every learner's challenge is academic.
Sometimes success starts with access to a stable environment, reliable electricity, a place to study and the support needed to stay focused.
House Ignite was created to provide learners with a supportive living environment where they can focus on learning and growth.
Because potential thrives when stability exists.

OPPORTUNITY DOESN'T HAPPEN BY ACCIDENT.
Creating opportunities for young South Africans requires partnership.
Government cannot do it alone.
Education providers cannot do it alone.
Employers play a critical role.
Every bursary funded.
Every learner hosted.
Every workplace opportunity created.
These actions help build a stronger and more employable workforce.

WHEN ONE LIFE CHANGES, MANY OTHERS DO TOO.
A skills development programme rarely impacts only one person.
A bursary supports a student.
A qualification builds confidence.
Employment creates stability.
The result is a ripple effect that reaches families, communities and future generations.
When we invest in one learner, we often help change the future of an entire family.

THE FUTURE OF SOUTH AFRICA IS BEING BUILT TODAY.
South Africa's future is shaped by the opportunities we create today.
When young people gain access to education, skills development and meaningful employment opportunities, the impact extends far beyond the individual.
It strengthens families.
It strengthens communities.
It strengthens our economy.
Youth Month reminds us that investing in young people is one of the most important investments we can make in South Africa's future. Because opportunity changes lives.

A big step forward for Skills College.
We are now an approved examination centre. The College has been formally approved as a DHET examination centre, with our first national examinations scheduled for May 2026, followed by ongoing sittings aligned to national examination cycles throughout the year.
This means learners can now complete their examinations on campus, in a familiar and fully supported environment.
Less travel.
More support.
A smoother path to qualification.

A recent Moneyweb article has sparked more conversation about B-BBEE.
It highlights an important reality: Not all empowerment efforts have delivered broad-based results.
Here’s why: Opportunities only matter if you have the skills to use them. That’s where many people and businesses struggle.
Skills help you to:
• Find work
• Build a career
• Grow opportunities
Without them, access doesn’t go very far.
We’ve unpacked this in a short, easy-to-read article. https://skillscollege.co.za/skills-development-is-the-missing-link-in-south-africas-b-bbee-debate/
Start with the right skills.
