Youth Day reminds us that the fight for equality and a better future is a relay race where every generation must carry the torch.

When teachers and students stand together, we honor the brave youth of 1976 who risked everything for the right to a fair and dignified education.

Today, that legacy lives on as different generations continue to join hands to fight for equal opportunities, modern resources, and social justice for all.

To bring this history close to heart, our teachers dressed up in school uniforms this past Friday as a moving tribute to the youth of yesteryear. It was a powerful reminder that while times have changed, the spirit of unity, resilience, and mutual respect between educators and learners remains the ultimate foundation for building a brighter tomorrow.

Thank you to Ms Ncube for inspiring this initiative and for bringing the grade 9's and teachers together.

It is with deep sadness that we extend our sincerest condolences to the Goss family on the passing of Mr Kenneth James Goss.

Mr Goss joined George Campbell on 1 January 1998 as a member of the English Home Language Department. His dedication and professionalism were evident throughout his years of service. At a later stage, he took on the responsibility of overseeing the Parallel Learning Centre (PLC) and managing the tribunals, roles in which he demonstrated fairness, compassion, and commitment to the school community.

Mr Goss was remembered as a meticulous, articulate gentleman who had a great command of the English language. He left George Campbell on 31 August 2018, closing a chapter marked by integrity, wisdom, and service. He will be remembered not only for his contributions to education but also for the positive impact he had on colleagues and students alike. His legacy of service and integrity will remain with us.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Goss family during this time of loss.

Weekend Update: George Campbell Hosts Thrilling Sports Tournament

George Campbell opened its gates for a day of competition, unity, and excellence, hosting Gqokinsimbi Technical High School and Tugela Secondary School for a multi-code tournament.

From 09:00 to 15:30, the fields and courts were alive with energy as learners competed in soccer, rugby, netball, chess, and debate. The day lived up to the theme: Unity in Sport, Excellence in Action.

George Campbell put on a strong showing across most codes, taking wins in several matches and showcasing great teamwork and sportsmanship. The home crowd brought the spirit, and visiting teams gave tough competition that made every game .
