🎤✨ FOUNDATION PHASE WYS EN VERTEL ✨🎤

Our Foundation Phase learners participated in our internal Wys en Vertel competition, where they had the opportunity to showcase their speaking abilities and growing confidence in Afrikaans.

The standard of presentations was exceptional, and our learners impressed everyone with their excellent Afrikaans language skills, clear pronunciation, and enthusiastic delivery. Each participant demonstrated courage and determination as they stood before an audience to share their chosen topics.

Events such as these encourage learners to develop their communication skills while fostering a deeper appreciation for language learning. It was wonderful to see our young learners expressing themselves so confidently in Afrikaans.

Congratulations to all our participants for their outstanding efforts and positive attitude. You represented your classes with pride and made this competition a great success.

Our learners took part in an internal Maths Games competition, where they enjoyed fun and challenging activities that tested their number skills and problem-solving abilities. 🧠🎲

Our senior phase learners participated in the Wys en Vertel internal competition, where they showcased their reading and presentation skills. 🎤📖

Each learner confidently read and presented their prepared pieces with expression and clarity, demonstrating great effort and improvement. It was wonderful to see their confidence grow as they performed in front of their peers and teachers.

Our learners participated in the Phoenix Central Circuit Speech Contest and delivered outstanding performances across all grades. 👏

All learners received participation certificates for their effort and confidence on stage.

✨Road Safety Competition✨

We are proud of our learners who represented Whetstone Primary School at the Road Safety Competition Awards Day held at the Durban ICC 🚦🏢. Our Grade 3 learner delivered a wonderful poem, while our Grade 7 learner presented an inspiring speech 🗣️📖.

The competition highlighted the importance of road safety and reminded us all to be responsible road users by following traffic rules and making safe choices 🚸. It was a valuable experience that encouraged learners to stay alert, cautious, and safe on our roads.

Both learners received participation certificates, and the school was also awarded a certificate for taking part in this important initiative 🏆. Well done to our learners for representing our school with confidence and pride! 👏💙💛
