Making a splash is one thing. Representing KZN is quite another.
So, of course, we are incredibly proud of our young divers who have been selected to represent KZN at the SA Schools Championships later this year.
Diving is a unique and special part of life at Maris Stella, and it's a privilege to be able to offer our girls access to this incredible sport. Watching them spend countless hours honing their skills and building their confidence in our pool makes achievements like these even more meaningful.
Congratulations, girls. We can't wait to cheer you on in December.

Look again. 👀✨
Our Grade 4 girls spent the day at Durban's Museum of Illusions, exploring a world where nothing was quite what it seemed. One minute we were standing on the floor, and the next we were walking on the ceiling. Our brains are still trying to compute!
Upside-down rooms, mind-bending optical tricks, some dizzy spells and some "how is that even possible? moments... but total proof that learning can be wickedly cool and fun!
The best part... taking photos that make absolutely no sense.

📍 Geography looks a little different when your classroom has no walls... and our Matric Geography girls got to experience that first hand.
The girls visited the bustling Markets of Warwick Junction, where they explored informal trade and the vital role it plays in our city's economy.
From there, it was off to the Point Precinct and Florida Road to investigate urban renewal, development projects and the work of Urban Improvement Precincts. (A Yogi Berry stop may also have featured... purely for research purposes, of course. 😉)
On another outing, the girls headed to Westown in Shongweni, to explore settlement patterns, urban expansion, new town development and the changing shape of our region.
There's something special about standing in the middle of what you're learning about, rather than just reading it in a textbook. We loved these lessons!

It's Youth Day today, and we're celebrating them all. 🖤 ❤ ♥
The doers, the leaders, the artists, the dreamers, the athletes, the stage-queens, the question-askers, the rule-benders, the hand-raisers and the quiet observers.
They are, after all, the whole point.
Happy Youth Day to our beautiful Maris Stella community, and beyond! ✨

We're 🏃🏾♀️🏃♀️🏃🏽♀️🏃♀️ into the week again with our early morning Cross Country sessions. It's pretty dark, and it's a lot colder than what we're used to, but these girls are up and at it every week. We couldn't be prouder!
Would be very cool to see some more parents stretching their legs before the sun comes up. No judgies. Just saying. 😎
Rememebr ... we do have our very own Boston Brew on campus!
Run, coffee, repeat 😁

🚀 🚀 🚀 Mission Briefing: Maris Stella.
Former NASA astronaut Dorothy "Dottie" Metcalf-Lindenburger is heading to Durban as part of the Living Maths Space Tour 2026, and Maris Stella is proud to be one of the host venues.
A former science teacher turned astronaut, Dottie has orbited Earth 238 times, worked aboard the International Space Station, led underwater exploration missions, and inspired learners around the world through her passion for STEM education.
Now she's bringing those stories, lessons and experiences to Durban. And for our Maris Stella community, this is more than an event. It's a chance to meet someone who looked up at the stars and decided to go there. Imagine the possibilities for your daughter!

While some milestones are measured in trophies, certificates or school achievements, others are a little more personal. 🕊
So today, we are celebrating two beautiful moments of faith in our Maris Stella family. Congratulations to young Khwezi Mtshubungu, who received her First Holy Communion this past weekend at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish, and to our Head Girl, Mandisa Nzama, who recently received the Sacrament of Confirmation.
Confirmation is a particularly special step, as it marks the moment a young person chooses to embrace and continue the faith journey that began at Baptism. We celebrate with you Mandisa and pray that you continues to be guided by faith and courage, love and kindness. 💟
We are so proud to share in these special moments with both you and your families.
Thank you for being a part of the Maris Stella journey.
