Ndlebenkomo Academy invites applications from suitably qualified students who require workplace experience to complete their agricultural qualifications.

Requirements
• Currently enrolled in or recently completed a TVET/College qualification in Agriculture, Animal Production, Crop Production, Farm Management or a related field.
• Require in-service training/work-integrated learning to complete academic requirements.
• Willingness to work in a practical farming environment.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Passion for agriculture and rural development.

Areas of Exposure
Successful candidates will gain practical experience in:
• Crop production and management
• Livestock production and animal husbandry
• Farm maintenance and operations
• Agricultural record keeping
• Health and safety practices
• Irrigation and water management
• Agricultural business and administration

Important Information
• No stipend will be paid (Apply at AgriSETA for stipend).
• No accommodation will be provided.
• Trainees will be responsible for their own transport, meals, and accommodation.
• A workplace experience letter and performance evaluation will be provided upon successful completion of the programme.

Harvesting Acacia pods, the most nutritious animal feed with 31% proteins.

The 12-month period spent with these young individuals is nearing its completion. It has been a highly fulfilling experience, offering a chance to make a lasting impact. This innovative training initiative, conducted on their home ground, allowed them to connect educational theory with the practical realities of their community.

Generally, people would leave their homes and communities to access generic education in cities, which may not adequately address the unique challenges of their backgrounds, with the assumption that upon gaining qualifications and employment, they will be able to resolve the problems of their communities. Nevertheless, after 30 years, social problems have persisted.
