Enrichment Days: Senior Primary STEM in Action πŸ”¬πŸš€

This year, our overarching theme is BSc, and true to Radford style, we ended the term with hands-on, minds-on enrichment! πŸ’‘βœ¨

Over two exciting days, our Senior Primary pupils immersed themselves in a dynamic STEM programme, tackling real-world challenges and creative problem-solving. From stepping into the shoes of forensic investigators in Crime Scene Investigation πŸ•΅οΈβ€β™‚οΈ, to testing engineering skills with the Egg Drop challenge πŸ₯š, pupils pushed their thinking to new heights.

Innovation was everywhere as pupils designed tools to retrieve β€œtreasure” from the pool, built earthquake-proof towers and coded robots to navigate mazes πŸ€–, and constructed impressive marble runs stretching from the first floor to the basin below! They even explored the wonders of static electricity to get objects moving. ⚑

We are so proud of the curiosity shown by our pupils, this is learning the Radford way!

Our Grade 4 Geography learners had an exciting hands-on lesson on the 3rd and 5th of May as they explored directions and map skills in a fun, active way! Learners worked to draw giant compasses on the floor, testing their knowledge of North, South, East, and West, while some challenged themselves to create detailed compass roses.

This engaging activity encouraged problem-solving and practical learning beyond the classroom, bringing Geography concepts to life in a uniquely Radford way. The learners loved moving, creating, and learning together while building confidence in their map-reading skills.

The photos capture the enthusiasm of our Grade 4s as they proudly demonstrated their understanding of compass directions and compass roses.
