The Division for Global Engagement invites eligible researchers to apply for the prestigious Royal Society Wolfson Fellowship β a career-defining opportunity to advance your research in the United Kingdom.
About the Fellowship:
This programme enables UK universities and research institutions to attract outstanding international research leaders through two flexible routes:
πΈ5βYear Fellowship: A Β£300,000 award to fully relocate and establish your research programme in the UK.
πΈVisiting Fellowship: Up to Β£125,000 for a flexible sabbatical period to build and strengthen international collaborations with a UK host institution.
Who should apply?
πΈMid- to senior-career researchers in the natural sciences (including biological/biomedical sciences, chemistry, engineering, mathematics, and physics).
πΈApplicants currently based overseas (or who have arrived in the UK within the last 6 months).
πΈResearchers with a strong publication record, scientific leadership, and a fully independent research programme.
πΈOpen to all nationalities β successful applicants are eligible for a fast-track Global Talent Visa.

We warmly invite you to join our upcoming SASUF panel on Indigenous Knowledge, Science, and Sustainability.
This panel brings together perspectives from South Africa and Sweden on the role of Indigenous and minority knowledge systems in sustainability research, education, governance, and policy. Drawing on experiences from Indigenous Knowledge Systems (IKS) policy development, SΓ‘mi education and land-based pedagogies, Indigenous participation in science, and community engagement, the panelists will explore opportunities and challenges for meaningful knowledge co-production. Together, they will discuss how Indigenous knowledge can contribute to more inclusive, equitable, and sustainable approaches to research and decision-making.
The virtual session is hosted within the Sustainability Research & Innovation Congress (SRI) Conference, but is open to the public.
