SAINTS SPORTS FEST
The Thandulwazi Netball and Football teams proudly took part in the Saints Sports Fest, giving it their all from start to finish. There were wins that made us cheer, losses that taught us lessons, and countless moments of fun, teamwork, and determination.
Our students competed fiercely against other schools, showing true sportsmanship, resilience, and heart. It was a weekend filled with hard work, passion, and perseverance.
Most importantly, a great time was had by all, memories were made, and pride was carried home. We couldn’t be prouder of our teams for representing Thandulwazi with such spirit and commitment.

INTERN TEACHER WORKPLACE READINESS 2026
On 26 February 2026, Thandulwazi hosted its 3rd Annual Teacher Intern Workplace Readiness event at St Stithians College. The programme equips our Teacher Interns with the practical skills and insights needed to transition successfully into the workplace.
Interns left Capricorn and Waterberg regions in Limpopo very early in the morning to attend a full day of focused preparation and engagement.
The programme included sessions on CV writing and job applications led by Mr Desmond Van Wyk (Deputy Head, St Stithians Boys’ Preparatory), personal branding with Mrs TC Nkosi-Mnanzana (Deputy Head, St Stithians Girls’ College), and a career journey reflection by Mr Whiskey Ngobeni, a former intern now Master Maths Teacher. Financial literacy was presented by Ms Tendai Mugabe, focusing on long-term financial planning and independence.
Additional discussions explored technology in education, entrepreneurship, and the evolving role of teachers. Parent perspectives added further insight into the expectations placed on emerging educators.
Thank you to Mr Velaphi Gumbi, One & All, and our funders for supporting this important initiative. Preparing future-ready teachers remains central to our mission.

2026 THANDULWAZI GAUTENG AWARDS CEREMONY
What a truly heart-warming and unforgettable Saturday!
Our 2026 Thandulwazi Awards Ceremony was a celebration in every sense - of hard work, resilience, growth and possibility. From the moment the programme began, the room was filled with pride, joy and a deep sense of community.
A special thank you to our brilliant MC, TC Nkosi-Mnanzana, who kept the audience laughing, engaged and fully present throughout the morning. Her warmth, humour and effortless ability to connect with everyone in the room set the perfect tone for the celebration.
We were also deeply moved by our inspirational motivational speaker, Katlego Thaba, whose powerful message “If not you, then who?” challenged, motivated and uplifted us all. He reminded us that our dreams are valid, that possibility begins with belief, and that with courage, commitment and hard work, we can become whatever we dare to imagine. His words were a powerful affirmation of the agency our young people hold and the responsibility we all share in shaping a better future.
We were also honoured to experience something truly special as Veliswa Mehana, a music teacher from the Girls' College, composed our very own 20th anniversary commemorative anthem, which she performed so beautifully on the day. The moment was both moving and deeply meaningful, a reflection of Thandulwazi’s journey, spirit and impact over two decades. Adding to this magic was the Harmony Choir, an a ca****la choir from the Girls’ College, directed by Veliswa, whose harmonies brought a sense of grace, unity and quiet power to the ceremony. Their performance added a soulful, uplifting depth that made the celebration even more memorable.
Congratulations to all our awardees on your outstanding results. Your dedication and perseverance are an inspiration, and we are so proud of what you have achieved.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed to making the day so special — our staff, partners, speakers, families and supporters. Moments like these remind us why this work matters.
A celebration we will hold close for a long time to come.
