🌟 From preschool learner to young leader! ❤️
Today, one of our aftercare girls helped the younger children find their seats during movie time while teachers supervised. Seeing her grow into a caring and responsible young lady makes us so proud. 🥰🎬🍿

❤️ BEFORE YOU BLAME THE TEACHER… LOOK AT THE FOUNDATION ❤️

PART 3: SOME CHILDREN BRING LESSONS FROM HOME WITHOUT THEIR PARENTS EVEN REALIZING IT 💔

One of the biggest surprises in preschool is discovering how much children learn without being taught.

Children are always watching.

They are always listening.

They are always learning.

Even when parents think they are not. ❤️

Sometimes a parent is shocked when a teacher says:

"Your child is being disrespectful."

"Your child is shouting at other children."

"Your child refuses to listen."

And the first reaction is often:

💔 "My child doesn't do that at home."

💔 "The teacher must be the problem."

💔 "The other children are influencing my child."

But sometimes the truth is deeper.

Children often bring behaviours from home without parents even realizing they are teaching them.

A child may learn to shout because shouting is what they hear every day.

A child may learn disrespect because they constantly hear adults disrespecting one another.

A child may learn to blame others because nobody takes responsibility at home.

A child may learn to be rude because rude behaviour is laughed at instead of corrected.

A child may learn that rules don't matter because they are never enforced consistently.

And the saddest part is...

Many parents don't even notice it happening. 💔

Not because they are bad parents.

But because what happens every day starts to feel normal.

Then the child comes to preschool.

For the first time, they are around other children.

For the first time, their behaviour is compared to social expectations.

For the first time, someone points out what has become normal at home.

And suddenly the teacher looks like the problem.

But teachers are not magicians.

We simply see the behaviours that children bring through our gates every morning.

The Bible says:

"Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it." — Proverbs 22:6 ❤️

Dear parents,

When teachers raise concerns, it is not because we want to criticize.

It is because we care.

We see potential.

We see a future.

And we know that the habits children develop today can shape the adults they become tomorrow.

Before blaming the teacher...

Pause and reflect.

❤️ What is my child seeing every day?

❤️ What conversations is my child hearing?

❤️ What behaviours am I unknowingly teaching?

Because sometimes the lessons that shape a child the most are the lessons we never intended to teach. 💔🌱

❤️ BEFORE YOU BLAME THE TEACHER… LOOK AT THE FOUNDATION ❤️

PART 2: CHILDREN LEARN MORE FROM WHAT WE DO THAN WHAT WE SAY 💔

We tell our children:

"Be kind."
"Tell the truth."
"Respect others."

But then...

Do they see kindness in us?

Do they hear us speaking kindly about others when they are not around?

Do they see honesty when we make mistakes?

Do they see respect in the way we treat our spouse, our family, our neighbours, and even strangers?

Children are always watching. 👀

Not when we are teaching them...
But when we think they are not paying attention.

A child may forget a hundred lectures...

But they will remember the example we set every day.

One day, a child who constantly hears shouting may think shouting is normal.

A child who grows up surrounded by love may learn how to love others.

A child who sees forgiveness may learn mercy.

A child who sees gratitude may learn to appreciate life.

The truth is painful...

Sometimes the behaviour we dislike in our children is a reflection of what they have been exposed to. 💔

The Bible says:

"Let your light shine before others." — Matthew 5:16 ❤️

Our children see that light first.

Before the teachers.
Before their friends.
Before the world.

They see us.

So today, don't ask only:

"What am I teaching my child?"

Ask:

❤️ What am I showing my child?
❤️ What example am I setting?
❤️ If my child becomes exactly like me, would I be proud?

Those questions may be difficult...

But they may also change a child's future. 🌱

❤️ NEW SERIES: BEFORE YOU BLAME THE TEACHER… LOOK AT THE FOUNDATION ❤️

PART 1: THE LITTLE EYES WATCHING YOU 👀❤️

One day a child is born…

Tiny hands.
A beautiful smile.
A heart that knows nothing about this world. ❤️

They don’t arrive knowing anger.
They don’t arrive knowing disrespect.
They don’t arrive knowing hurtful words.

Slowly… they start learning.

Not only from what we tell them…

But from what they see. 💔

They watch how we speak when we are upset.
They watch how we treat other people.
They watch how we handle problems.
They watch how we show love.

Sometimes as parents we ask:

“Where did my child learn this behaviour?”

But the bigger question is…

“What lessons are my child’s little eyes seeing every day?”

Because before a teacher holds their pencil…
Before a teacher opens their book…

Life has already started teaching them.

The Bible reminds us:
“Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.” — Proverbs 22:6 ❤️

This is not about perfect parents.
No parent gets everything right.

It is about remembering that God trusted us with little hearts that are watching, learning, and becoming. 🌱

Teachers can help build the walls…
But the foundation starts at home.

So today ask yourself:

❤️ What am I planting in my child’s heart?
❤️ What memories will my child carry because of me?
❤️ What example am I leaving behind?

Because one day our children will become adults…

And the world will meet the person we helped create. ❤️

📚 THE TRUTH ABOUT PRESCHOOL SUCCESS (Final Part)

🔥 The Preschool Industry's Biggest Secret 🔥

Here's something many people don't want to admit.

Parents are not looking for a perfect preschool.

They are looking for a preschool they can trust with their imperfect little humans.

Children will make mistakes.

They will cry.

They will fall.

They will have difficult days.

They will test boundaries.

That is called childhood.

The question is not whether challenges will happen.

The question is:

How does a preschool respond when they do?

Anyone can smile when everything is going well.

Anyone can look professional on social media.

Anyone can take beautiful photographs.

But character is revealed in the difficult moments.

When a child is struggling.

When a parent is concerned.

When a mistake has been made.

When things don't go according to plan.

That is where the true quality of a preschool is revealed.

Not in its advertisements.

Not in its building.

Not in its promises.

But in its actions.

At the end of the day, parents are not searching for perfection.

They are searching for people who genuinely care.

People who are patient.

People who are honest.

People who see every child as unique and valuable.

Because children may outgrow the classrooms.

But they never outgrow the impact of those who cared for them.

And perhaps that is the greatest truth about preschool success.

It has never been about buildings.

It has never been about popularity.

It has always been about people.

🛡️ TEACHING OUR CHILDREN TO STAY SAFE 🛡️

At Upcoming Stars Learning Academy, we believe that education goes beyond numbers, letters, and colors. Today, our learners participated in an important Body Safety lesson.

We taught our children that:
✅ Their bodies belong to them.
✅ Private parts should always be covered.
✅ No one should touch their bodies in a way that makes them uncomfortable.
✅ It is okay to say "NO" and move away from an unsafe situation.
✅ They should always tell a trusted adult if something makes them feel scared, uncomfortable, or confused.

Teaching children about body safety from a young age helps build confidence, self-respect, and awareness. Together, as parents and educators, we can empower our children to stay safe and protect themselves.

💙 Every child deserves to feel safe, respected, and protected.
