There is nothing more rewarding to me than seeing a young person walk through our doors uncertain about their future and leave with confidence, practical skills, and hope.
SA Butchery Training School has never just been a business to me. It is a calling. It is about building people, creating opportunities, and helping individuals discover that they are capable of achieving more than they ever imagined.
The past few years have not been easy. The transition from SETA to QCTO brought significant challenges to training providers across South Africa. One of the biggest blows for us was the discontinuation of our accredited short courses. Suddenly, we were left with only the one-year accredited Meat Processing Operator qualification to offer. There were moments of uncertainty, disappointment, and difficult decisions.
But I refused to give up.
Today, I am grateful to say that SA Butchery Training School is proudly QCTO accredited. Through faith, perseverance, and the support of many wonderful people, we are still standing stronger and more determined than ever.
Our vision is bigger than simply teaching people how to cut meat. We want to build character, instil pride in workmanship, and equip the next generation with skills that can change their lives and support their families.
My dream is to grow SA Butchery Training School into the biggest and most respected butchery training institution in South Africa. Not for recognition, but because every student who succeeds becomes part of a ripple effect that impacts homes, communities, and the meat industry as a whole.
To every student who has trusted us with their future, every employer who has supported us, and every person who encouraged us during the difficult seasons – thank you.
