What if your child's first school experience felt like a second home?

At the Steyn City School Early Years Centre, children are encouraged to explore, create, discover, and grow in an environment where they feel safe, valued, and inspired every day.

With two fully qualified teachers in every classroom, low student-to-teacher ratios, and a carefully designed programme that nurtures confidence and curiosity, our students are given the opportunity to thrive from their very first school experience.

As South Africa marks the 50th anniversary of the Soweto Uprising, we honour the young people who demonstrated extraordinary courage on 16 June 1976.

Today, we celebrate the courage of young people, past and present, to lead with conviction, challenge injustice, and shape a better future.

At Steyn City School, courage is one of the values that underpins our community, inspiring our students to act with purpose, resilience, and integrity.

Happy Youth Day, South Africa.

Behind every flourishing child is a network of support and care.

Last week, our Early Years Centre students celebrated the very important people in their lives during our EYC VIP Morning. Families came together to share coffee, food, conversation, and special moments, while enjoying a variety of games and activities.

The morning was filled with laughter, smiles, and a wonderful sense of community. Thank you to everyone who braved the chilly winter morning to join us and help make the occasion so memorable.

𝗢𝗡𝗘 𝗦𝗖𝗛𝗢𝗢𝗟. 𝗢𝗡𝗘 𝗧𝗘𝗔𝗠. 𝗢𝗡𝗘 𝗗𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗠.

Steyn City School has caught the fever, and we are not sorry.

Classroom doors are decorated. Each Preparatory class is proudly backing a different World Cup country. Students, staff, and families are wearing their support gear. The corridors have taken sides.

But when South Africa takes to the field, we are all on the same team.

For the next few weeks, we are fully, completely, unapologetically in World Cup mode.

The gees is ON.

Come on Bafana. Come on Proteas Women. This school believes! 💛💚🖤

Every piece tells a story.

Visual Arts Teacher Zahra Doola takes us behind the scenes of the mood board that inspired our students' Africa Day artwork, sharing the vision, creative process, and meaning behind each piece.

We are incredibly proud of our young artists and the heart they poured into celebrating the richness and diversity of our country.

A special thank you to Nicol Botha and Charlton Brown for their contribution to the South African flag design that inspired this project.

Watch to see the inspiration behind the art.

Africa's heartbeat lives in its music, stories, languages, cultures, and the extraordinary people who shape its future.

Our Preparatory School students came together to celebrate Africa Day through poetry, marimba, music, dance, storytelling, and cultural expression.

Through their performances, students embraced the values of unity, respect, community, and Ubuntu, learning from one another and celebrating the many cultures, traditions, and stories that enrich our shared experience.

'Nkosi Sikelel' iAfrika.'
