Celebrating a Weekend of Impact! 🇿🇦
This past Saturday, April 18th, Digital Skills Africa had the privilege of joining (Wo)men 4 Girls South Africa to facilitate a hands-on workshop designed to bridge the digital divide for the next generation of leaders.
Stepping into university is a major milestone, but mastering the “tools of the trade” is what truly sets students up for success. We spent the day diving deep into Microsoft 365, equipping first-year students with the essential skills they need to navigate their academic journey with confidence:
• Microsoft Word: Moving beyond basic typing to professional formatting and automated referencing.
• Microsoft Excel: Demystifying formulas and data organization to make sense of complex information.
• PowerPoint: Shifting from “slides” to storytelling with impactful design and visual flow.
• Efficiency Hacks: Sharing the “pro” shortcuts that turn hours of work into minutes.
The highlight of the day was seeing the spark of curiosity and those “aha!” moments when a complex shortcut finally clicked. At Digital Skills Africa, we believe that empowering young women with technical proficiency is a direct investment in a more equitable and innovative future.
