Yesterday, we hosted our annual Grade 6 Father’s Day Breakfast to celebrate all our incredible Crawford dads. 💙

Exploring the world through inquiry!

As part of their Unit of Inquiry, Where We Are in Place and Time, our Grade 5C students investigated the concept of exploration and the impact explorers have had on shaping our understanding of the world.

Students stepped into the shoes of their chosen explorers by creating diary entries from their perspective, reflecting on the challenges, discoveries, and adventures of their journeys. They also brought their learning to life through incredible 3-D posters and dioramas, showcasing their creativity, research skills, and critical thinking.

We are so proud of the effort, imagination, and enthusiasm displayed by our Grade 5C learners. Here is a glimpse of their outstanding work and inquiry in action! ⭐

YOUTH DAY

Today we honour the young people who changed the course of history and the young people who continue to shape it. As a school, we believe in the power of youth to ask bold questions, challenge the ordinary and build something better.

A heartfelt thank you to our wonderful families for bringing such incredible energy and team spirit to our Family Sports Day!

From exciting races to the ever-popular Tug of War, the day was filled with laughter, encouragement and memorable moments. Seeing families connect, cheer one another on and have fun together made the day truly special.

𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞 | 𝐑𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐘𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰 𝐂𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 𝐨𝐟 𝐁𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬

45 of our Grade 8 Design students enjoyed an inspiring two-and-a-half-hour creativity workshop this week, presented by Mandy Paynter from the Red & Yellow Creative School of Business based in Cape Town.

Working in groups of five, students were challenged to imagine and develop fantastical stories before bringing their ideas to life through the collaborative creation of a zine. Each group then presented its unique story and visual narrative to the rest of the class, showcasing impressive creativity, teamwork, and communication skills.

The workshop developed a range of valuable skills, including creative thinking, visual storytelling, collaboration, and presentation techniques. Most importantly, it provided students with a safe and supportive space in which to explore their ideas freely and embrace uninhibited creative fluency. It was a truly enriching experience that encouraged imagination, confidence, and innovative thinking.

Our little supporters are cheering for Bafana Bafana from afar! While they won't be staying up for the match 😉 ,they will be excited to hear all about the action in the morning. Sport inspires teamwork, pride and big dreams and today we're all saying, "Go Bafana Bafana!" 🎉⚽💚💛
