One week to go. đź’Ś
Pause 11 · 23–25 June · Laborie Heritage Wine Estate , Paarl and we officially closed the door on bookings.
If you’ve been meaning to come and just kept putting it off - we get it, life is full - but this one is now in motion. The seats are filled, the florals are being sourced, a new season is about to begin.
But here’s the thing about Pause: it always comes back around.
Pause 12 · 15–17 September · still open. Limited seats. Plenty of time.
If June wasn’t your season, maybe September is. Maybe this is the nudge.
Enquire. Let’s have a conversation. We’ll take it from there.
Much love, Anli + Amanda

Why we started Pause. Honestly. Because we were tired of workshops that covered techniques without covering the why. Because we’d both been to courses that felt like information downloads — and we wanted something that felt like a real conversation between working florists. Because we believed that the most powerful thing we could give another florist was not just our knowledge — but our honesty. Our failures. The things we got wrong and why. Pause is the workshop we wished existed when we were starting out.
If you’ve ever left a course feeling like something was still missing — we built this for you. Anli + Amanda ♥️

The one thing most florists avoid talking about: pricing.
If you’ve ever undercharged because you were afraid the client would say no — this is for you:
→ Your price is not a negotiation. It’s a reflection of your value.
→ Clients who push back on price are not your clients.
→ Charging correctly is not greed — it’s sustainability.
→ The flowers are just one part of the cost. Your time, expertise, admin, and artistry matter too.
We dedicate part of Day 3 at Pause entirely to money — pricing, structures, and how to have the conversation with confidence. Because beautiful floristry deserves to be financially sustainable.
This is just a taste of what we cover on Day 3. Only 5 seats left. Bookings close Friday 12 June. Full details via link in bio.

BOOKINGS CLOSE FRIDAY, 10 JUNE!
HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL MISS IF YOU DON’T COME…
The handwritten note waiting at your seat when you arrive.
The goodie box we’ve packed just for you.
The moment you see the buckets of premium flowers you’ll be playing with for 3 days
The conversations over coffee that turn into friendships.
The chance to ask every question you’ve ever had about weddings, flowers, pricing, clients and business.
The huge installations you’ll help create with your own hands.
The beautiful lunches, sweet treats and snacks that somehow make every break feel like a gathering of old friends.
The laughter that somehow always happens when 16 flower lovers end up in the same room.
Three days of learning from Anli and Amanda, who’ve spent nearly two decades building floral businesses and are ready to share everything they’ve learned.
The professional portfolio photographs that remind you just how capable you are.
And perhaps most importantly...
The version of yourself that leaves on Day 3.
A little more confident.
A little more skilled.
A little more certain that this dream is worth pursuing.
PAUSE has never been just about flowers.
It’s about what becomes possible when you give yourself permission to grow.
If you’ve been waiting for a sign, this might be it.

What does a Pause graduate look like six months later?
She books the client she was too scared to pitch.
She charges what her work is worth.
She starts designing from feeling… not from fear.
She sends us a message saying: “I finally feel like a real florist.”
The flowers are just the beginning. Pause teaches design, yes. But it also teaches confidence, community, and what it means to build a creative life with intention. That’s the real takeaway.
Meet Mandri of - one of the most beautiful examples of exactly this. She attended Pause in 2021, and three years later she was back as one of our assisting florists at Pause 7. 🤍
We love watching our graduates grow, and we really wish you could all hear just how loudly we are cheering for you!

One of ours. 🌿
Cara from joined us at Pause 2 back in 2020 — and she arrived already carrying something special. The kind of creative that just needed a little permission to fully bloom.
Today, is luxe, sculptural, wild-edged florals that feel cinematic and completely, unapologetically her. Flowers that misbehave beautifully. (Her words. We’re obsessed.) Swipe to see what she’s been up to ->
This is why we do what we do. Not just to teach techniques. But to unlock what was already there.
We are so proud of every single one of our 200+ graduates. 🤍
