Preparing Christian leaders for success in life and ministry. Training the next generation of servant leaders in Africa for great commission living.
Meet Pastor Liwoyo Collins Mubanga, one of our dedicated lecturers in the Bible department.
He is known for his love for students, passion for God's Word, and skilful ability to connect across cultures through one of the 12 languages he speaks.
His ministry extends beyond the classroom as he serves at Faith Baptist Church of Riverside in Kitwe and as a missionary pastor for a church plant in Kalulushi.
We are grateful for lecturers like Mr Mubanga whose commitment to teaching and discipleship is making an impact for Christ across Zambia and beyond.

Meet the Njoroge Family, serving at Mercy Nairobi Church in Nairobi, Kenya.
Mercy Nairobi Church was planted in 2023 in the heart of the city with a vision to see a gospel awakening in Nairobi that extends to the nations, and a mission to glorify God through holy living and disciple-making for the eternal good of all people.
The church intentionally engages the city through weekly school outreaches, a growing college ministry, and faithful outreach to homeless men and women living on the streets.
Emmanuel serves as a Pastoral Assistant and is actively involved in the church’s 18-month ministry residency programme, designed to equip gospel workers through theological training and practical ministry within the local church.
Dorcas serves with Mercy House as a biblical counsellor, walking with women from the streets through healing, restoration, and reintegration into society. She also provides biblical counselling within the church as they work towards establishing a counselling centre that will serve both the church and the wider city.
The Njoroges are deeply grateful for their training at Central Africa Baptist University, which has shaped both their ministry and their marriage. They continue to apply what they learned in theology and discipleship in their daily lives, with a growing love for Christ, the local church, and Great Commission living.
Please pray that they would remain steadfast in their walk with the Lord, grow in their affections for Christ, and bear much fruit in all their ministry at Mercy Nairobi Church.

Meet Pastor Ken Banda, Lecturer at CABU.
Pastor Banda has served at CABU since 2020, and one of the things he values most is the vibrant Christian fellowship that defines life on campus.
For him, CABU is more than an academic institution.
It is a community of brothers and sisters in Christ who care for one another, serve together, and encourage one another in the faith.
One of the greatest joys of his work is walking alongside students who desire to serve Christ in ministry.
Hearing their stories, mentoring them personally, and helping them prepare for faithful service is one of the most rewarding aspects of his role at CABU.
Pastor Banda teaches Church Planting, Equipping for Cross-Cultural Ministry, Systematic Theology, Greek, and Leadership Development in the Local Church.
Through these courses, he equips students with the biblical knowledge, practical skills, and theological foundations needed to serve effectively in their own cultural contexts.
Among the courses he teaches, Church Planting holds a special place in his heart.
Missions has long been his passion, and for many years he has been actively involved in planting churches.
As the Lead Pastor of his local church for over two decades, he has seen firsthand both the challenges and the joys of establishing healthy, gospel-centred churches.
That experience shapes the way he teaches.
Pastor Banda brings more than academic knowledge to the classroom.
He brings over twenty years of pastoral ministry and practical church-planting experience, helping students connect biblical principles with the realities of ministry on the ground.
His desire is to see men and women faithfully equipped to strengthen existing churches, plant new ones, and advance the gospel across Africa and beyond.
Join us in thanking God for Pastor Banda and praying for his continued ministry as he helps prepare the next generation of church leaders.

"No gospel-preaching church."
That was the need in Rundu, Namibia.
One believer saw the need and began gathering his family for worship, praying that God would raise up a biblical church in the town.
God answered. A congregation formed.
In 2024, CABU graduate Joseph Sheyavali returned to Namibia and eventually joined the work.
Today, he serves on the front lines of a young church plant—preaching, teaching, discipling, and sharing the gospel with people who need to hear the truth of Christ.
The congregation is small.
The challenges are real–syncretism, religious confusion, and no collaborators.
But the mission is worth it.
Because every person deserves access to a faithful gospel witness.
At CABU, we train servant leaders for ministry opportunities exactly like this, where biblical truth is needed and Christ is not yet clearly proclaimed.
Joseph's story is one of many.
