City University of Science and Technology is pleased to announce a strategic partnership with Uhuru Medical Academy, headquartered in Germany.

The Memorandum of Understanding focuses on training and placing City University alumni and current students from the medical field into medical facilities in Germany.

Key Opportunities:
1. German Language Training: The University will offer German language courses to prepare qualified candidates for work placement in Germany.
2. Career Placement: Successful candidates who meet language and professional requirements will be placed in German medical facilities.
3. Eligibility: Open to both former students/alumni and current students of City university of science and technology in the medical field, specifically Registered Nurses and Medical Doctors.

This initiative aims to expand global career opportunities for our graduates while addressing international healthcare workforce needs.

Interested candidates should register their interest with the Office of the Dean, School of Health Sciences for further details on language training schedules, requirements, and application procedures.

Mathews was part of the 2015 intake at CUST, where he studied Business Studies. He also studied ICT.

Today, he is shaping the next generation as a teacher at Chipili Boarding Secondary School in Luapula.

His journey from student to educator reflects exactly what CUST aims to build, not just qualifications, but character, discipline, and the ability to pour knowledge back into communities.

His advice to current and future students is simple but powerful: discipline and hard work are the keys to your success. Not talent alone. Not luck. Consistent effort, day after day.
