π²π FOOD AND NUTRITION SCHOOL-BASED ASSESSMENTS OFFICIALLY CLOSED
Today, the Deputy Headteacher, Mr. W. Muntengwa, officially closed the School-Based Assessments for Food and Nutrition at Chilenje B Secondary School.
In his remarks, Mr. Muntengwa congratulated the learners for their dedication and hard work throughout the assessment period. He encouraged them to make good use of the practical skills they have acquired, not only for academic success but also for entrepreneurship and self-reliance. He further urged learners to apply these skills at home by preparing nutritious meals for their families.
Mr. Muntengwa also expressed his appreciation to the Practical Subjects Department for their commitment and excellent work in guiding the learners. Special recognition was given to the Teacher-in-Charge, Ms. Mwanza, for her leadership and dedication in ensuring the successful implementation of the assessments.
At Chilenje B Secondary School, we remain committed to equipping learners with practical life skills that empower them for the future.

CHILENJE B SECONDARY SCHOOL PARTICIPATES IN AFROCENTRIC COMPETENCE-BASED STE(A)M EDUCATION TRANSFORMATION PROGRAMME
17th June, 2026
Chilenje B Secondary School has joined educators from across Africa in participating in the Afrocentric Competence-Based STE(A)M Education Transformation for Selected African Countries programme being held at the National Science Centre in Lusaka.
The programme has brought together teachers of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics (STE(A)M) subjects from 19 countries, providing a platform for sharing innovative teaching practices, strengthening competence-based learning, and promoting Afrocentric approaches to education.
Participating countries include Angola, Botswana, Cameroon, Ethiopia, Eswatini, Ghana, Kenya, Lesotho, Madagascar, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Nigeria, Senegal, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, Uganda, Zimbabwe, and Zambia. The programme is being supported by the Ministry of Education, the African Union, and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).
Chilenje B Secondary School is proud to be represented at this important continental initiative, which seeks to equip educators with knowledge and skills that will enhance the delivery of competence-based STE(A)M education and prepare learners for the challenges and opportunities of the 21st century.

Dr. Njekwa said Goodbye ,
Today is a very special day for me, as I officially bring my career to a close and begin a new chapter in my life.
Iam filled with gratitude and pride for the years we have spent working together.
Retirement marks the end of my formal service, but the memories , friendships and indeed experiences I have gained here, will remain with me foerver.
I would like to sincerely thank each and everyone of you friends. Your support , team work, encouragemnts and professionalism have made my journey both meaningful and enjoyable.
Whatever achievements I have accomplished during my years of service were not mine alone, they were the result of working alongside dedicated and talented educators like you.
To my supervisors and management, thank you for the trust, guidance and opportunities you gave me throughout my career. Your leadership helped me grow both professionally and personally.
To my fellow H O Dβs and teaching staff, thank you for the camaraderie, cooperation and countless moments we shared. Together we faced challenges, celebrated successes and supported one another through difficult times.Those experiences have created bonds that i will always cherish.
As I retire ,I leave with a heart full of appreciation and respect for this school - the MightyChilenje B - is Brighter and in capable hands.
I wish each of you continued success, good health and happiness in both your professional and personal lives.

π’ CHILENJE B SECONDARY SCHOOL PARTICIPATES IN WASH CAPACITY BUILDING MEETING
Chilenje B Secondary School was privileged to participate in a Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) Capacity Building Meeting held at Best Western Plus Hotel in Lusaka.
The meeting brought together various stakeholders under the WASH programme co ordinated by Splash and BORDA Zambia, aimed at strengthening water, sanitation and hygiene services in schools. As a beneficiary school, Chilenje B Secondary School is grateful for the support being provided through this initiative, which seeks to create a healthier and more conducive learning environment for all learners.
The capacity-building session provided valuable knowledge and skills on effective implementation of WASH activities, sustainable sanitation practices, hygiene promotion, and learner engagement.
We extend our sincere appreciation to Splash, BORDA Zambia, and the Ministry of Education for their continued commitment to improving the welfare and well-being of learners through enhanced WASH services.
Together, we are building healthier schools and brighter futures.

At Chilenje B Secondary School, we remain committed to providing learners with opportunities to discover and nurture their talents through various club activities that complement classroom learning.

The Management of Chilenje B Secondary School successfully held a meeting with the Parents Teachers Association (PTA) today.
Among the key resolutions made was the decision to convene the Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Saturday, 20th June 2026.
The purpose of the AGM will be to renew the mandate of the Parents Teachers Association (PTA) through the election of office bearers and to discuss matters concerning the welfare and development of the school.
We therefore encourage all parents and guardians to attend and actively participate in this important meeting.
