DEATH ANNOUNCEMENT

It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved sister and student.

She enrolled as a first-year student in 2022. After successfully completing her examinations, she unfortunately fell ill and was unable to continue with her studies. Following medical advice, she withdrew from the university for a year. With determination and courage, she resumed her studies in 2025. Sadly, her illness recurred, making it necessary for her to withdraw once again.

During this already difficult time, the family suffered another devastating loss when her elder sister passed away in April this year. They are now faced with the heartbreaking loss of yet another beloved family member.

We extend our deepest condolences to the bereaved family, relatives, friends, classmates, and all who knew her. May God grant the family strength, comfort, and peace during this incredibly difficult period.

“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” Psalm 34:18

May her soul rest in eternal peace.

“Commander Kwishiba” backs Susan ahead of August election

"There is something powerful about seeing young women rise to positions where they can create real change," says UNZASU vice-president Jemimah Mwaba, widely known by her nickname, Female Commander.

The outspoken student leader has urged Zambians to support 26-year-old Susan Mulala, who is contesting the Mwense Constituency parliamentary seat on the UPND ticket.

"As women, whether old or young, we must continue to support, encourage and uplift one another because every barrier broken by one woman creates opportunities for many more," she says.

"Today, I am proud to stand in support of Susan. Her courage, vision and willingness to serve inspires hope for the future we want to see. Representation matters, and it is time for more young women to take their place at decision-making tables."
