🥈 PROVINCIAL RUNNERS-UP! 🥈

Huge congratulations to our incredible Townsend Girls Volleyball Team. They put up a spectacular fight today at the Bulawayo U17 Provincial Competitions right here at Townsend High School.
After a tough group-stage setback against Mpopoma High, our girls showed true championship grit. They bounced back with dominant wins over Eastview High, Lobengula High, and Pumula High to secure their spot in the grand final, ultimately finishing as the proud Provincial Runners-Up after a hard-fought battle against Induna High.

Shoutout to all 12 girls' and 12 boys' teams who competed today. Special congratulations to Induna High School for winning both the girls' and boys' provincial titles and successfully qualifying for the upcoming National competitions.

We are incredibly proud of our girls and coaching staff for flying the Townsend flag so high.

Last week, we celebrated Africa Day in a vibrant display of culture, unity, and heritage. Our students showcased the richness of Africa through traditional attire, music, dance, and joyful performances that reflected the diversity of our continent. It was a day filled with pride, learning, and appreciation of our African identity, our culture and our heritage.

🥈 Tournament Finalists!

Congratulations to our Senior Girls team on finishing second at the Riverdale Invitational Football Tournament this past Saturday. After a day of intense competition, the girls advanced to the finals, narrowly missing the title in a hard-fought 1-0 match against Riverdale Academy. We are incredibly proud of the team’s effort, skill, and sportsmanship throughout the tournament. Thank you to our coaches, players, and supporters for an outstanding weekend.

Townsend High School recently conducted the "Not In My School" campaign to reinforce our zero-tolerance policy toward violence, drug abuse, gangsterism, child abuse and all forms of bullying, both online and offline.
