Day 2- Masvingo - Great Zimbabwe Trip
🇿🇼 Walking Through Our Heritage at Great Zimbabwe 🇿🇼
As part of our Heritage-Based Curriculum, our learners spent the day exploring the magnificent Great Zimbabwe Monuments, one of the most important historical landmarks in our nation.
From the Great Enclosure to the Valley Complex, our learners had the opportunity to step outside the classroom and experience the roots of Zimbabwean history firsthand. This was more than just a tour, it was a living lesson in identity, culture and heritage.
At Riverside, we believe that learning becomes more meaningful when children can see, touch and experience history for themselves.
Our heritage matters, and our children must know where they come from in order to understand where they are going. ❤️🇿🇼

Happy Father’s Day to all our dads, grandfathers, uncles and father figures, the men who lead, protect, guide and love us so faithfully. ❤️
Today we celebrate you and appreciate the sacrifices you make, the wisdom you share and the example you set for the next generation. A special appreciation to all our male teachers for the fatherly role you continue to play in shaping young lives.
"The righteous man walks in his integrity; his children are blessed after him." — Proverbs 20:7 🙏
May you continue to lead by example and be a blessing to your families and communities.

🚌✨ Day 1 of Our Masvingo - Great Zimbabwe Educational Tour ✨🚌
Our journey began with a powerful and heartwarming visit to Kapota School of the Blind (Helen Hugo Blind School), where our learners had the opportunity to interact with visually impaired children and witness their incredible talents firsthand.
From music and academics to daily life skills, our learners were inspired by the resilience, brilliance and determination of the Kapota learners. It was a beautiful reminder that ability is not limited by disability.
We then proceeded to Kyle Recreational Park, where the learners enjoyed nature and got to see some of Zimbabwe’s wildlife, making the day both educational and adventurous.
A perfect start filled with friendship, learning and unforgettable memories. ❤️

📚✨ Our Little Storybook Stars ✨📚
Our ECD A and ECD B learners absolutely stole the show as they dressed up as their favourite book characters to celebrate Reading Week!
From colourful costumes to confident smiles, our little ones brought their favourite stories to life, showing us that reading is not only educational but also fun, imaginative and inspiring. It was heartwarming to see how books have captured their young minds and encouraged them to become the characters they admire.
A huge thank you to our parents and teachers for the creativity, effort and support that made this day so special.

📚❤️ Books, Breakfast & Beautiful Memories ❤️📚
We proudly concluded our Reading Week with a special Books, Breakfast and Baskets session, bringing together our learners and parents for a morning filled with stories, laughter and meaningful connection.
Reading with children is one of the greatest gifts we can give them. It builds language, sparks imagination, strengthens confidence and, most importantly, creates lasting bonds between parent and child. Every story shared is an opportunity to learn, grow and connect.
Thank you to all our parents who joined us in nurturing a love for reading and reminding our children that some of life's most precious moments are found between the pages of a book. 📖✨
