ICASA Pre-Youth Conference is a platform that mainstreams respect for equity, inclusion and diversity in the control and mitigation of the impact of diseases; respond to HIV/AIDS, COVID-19, Monkey-pox, Ebola and any other emerging diseases; mitigate the impact of Hepatitis, Tuberculosis and Malaria through health systems strengthening and to generate and provide evidence-based data for policy formulation.

Amongst other issues, these are some of the nuggets from the Youth Pre-Conference:
1. Stigma and discrimination hinder the provision of services to key populations. Let's work together to create an inclusive and a non-judgmental environment where everyone can access confidential and culturally sensitive care.

2. Tailored interventions are essential for preventing and treating STIs and AIDS in key populations. Let's invest in targeted outreach, education, and advocacy programs that empower these communities with knowledge and tools for self-care.

3. Advocacy and policy dialogue are vital to ensure legal frameworks that support the rights of key populations. Let's advocate for policies that recognize gender identities, and promote harm reduction strategies.
